I'm in 10th. I wish to pursue bio in environment/biotech area. I wish to do engineering /research. I'm planning to do JEE to go to IISER/IISc, + Bio in +2 . iisc and iiser requires a jee score or a kvpy score to get in. you can go for a jee coaching based on this information but it depends on you as to how you want to prepare. if you feel you can crack jee through self study you can do it. otherwise go for a jee coaching and then get a kvpy fellowship or get a good score in jee

Thank you. But I also want to know, since I'm not interested in civil/computer and other usual engineering, is it even worth giving JEE? I want to do environmental so is PCMB at a normal school better,or coaching and dummy school with bio separately better? I know JEE is useful for IISER/IIsc but if I can do that with self study is it worth giving up my last years of school? I don't want to get into IIT and I want to do unconventional branches of engineering like environmental or biotech.I'm interested in research too. Is JEE needed for those? Please guide me here. Thank you.
