What are the common problems faced by students in SRM , Kattankulathur?
Hello student,
The problem you will face in SRM, Kattankulathur are as follows:
- The teachers here are pretty partial. They favour south Indian students.
- If you are north Indian, you just cannot tolerate the mess food offered here.
- You have to go through too many exam in a year. Due to which you will find a lack of time of you and your own curriculum .
Hope it helps.
Thank you :)
HELLO VEDANT SINGH
THANKS FOR ASKING
BELOW are the common problems faced by students in SRM , Kattankulathur:
· SRM as, many colleges has its pros and cons. Well at the end of four years, be it a good college or a bad one, everyone makes memories. what I found out about SRM, while enjoying my life in the college:
· SRM is all about money. You are late for your exam, you have to pay fine. You celebrate a festival you have to pay fine. At the end of the semester you're writing exams, you pay and write. At the end of your college, you pay and get placed. I wonder what do they do with the lacs of money our parents give them at the begining of the year, or the huge donations they take from the management students?
· Classrooms are fun, given that the teachers don't spoon feed the syllabus. Not all classrooms are boring, but few classrooms seem like an "after-lunch story recital" class, where everyone dozes off. Not only this, but also the favouritism imposed by our respected teachers .This is the most funny part of the college!
· Sooner or later, out students will study like the ancient gurukuls due to lack of classrooms. Wait!! They are constructing more classrooms for the exponentially increasing quantity of students per batch. The joke Is they don't have enough places to accommodate these little 18 year olds who need hostel accomodation. With the current extra-population situation, Abode and Estancia seems to earn a hell lot of money!!
· Well why do they even give us mess services or why do they even charge for the mess service, when after two months in college, everyone dines in Potheri or Java Green. Come on, it would be too much to ask them for continental food, but is it really too much to ask for healthy food?
· COLLEGE FEES.
· HOSTEL FEES.
· Quality of teaching (BUT some faculties are really good)
· Syllabus (sometimes you will wonder what "this thing" you are reading is going to do with your branch :
· You need to be exceptionally good in studies with good profile and CGPA to be eligible for those national (in most of the IITs, NITs, JNU etc) and international internships. As they mostly consider students from IITs and NITs etc. So you need to be comparatively good.
· Quality of research. (Well can't say as disadvantage but Not all labs are funded and with quality research.)
· Restriction in hostel timings.
· If you are a day scholar and living in the city probably you would have to travel for long hours to and fro. ( It takes 2 hours approx. to reach college from home so that makes approx. 4 hours in travelling :p)
· BIGGEST DEAL THEY HAVE WITH YOUR ID CARD. You will end up paying fine or entry denial to the campus every time you go without it.
HOPE IT HELPS
ALL THE BEST
