SRM kattangulathur has all necessary infrastructure.the department has well equiped labs. overall environment is clean and well maintained. they have libraries that are easily accessible as well as campus wifi which is free
academics is well structured and updates with well exoerienced staff who did masters from top universities in india. they cover both core elective subjects and as well has alot of exposure during internships and projects .
srm kattankulathur , they are known for 100 percent placement records both in It field and core . highest package ranged from 20-25lpa for IT and 7lpa for core although it may vary it still provides exposure which might be helpful to even land an off campus placement.
I do not know about other departments but for chemical it is worth it as there is alot of exposure .
friendly campus emvironment which is pretty linient with friendly teachers
in conclusion srm is worth it as they value both extra curricular and academics
The college infrastructure is good with trees all around the campus ample shed which brings a necessary chill to the hot chennai climate. The labs and equipments are all good and i would have no complains. ths only thing i would say is no dedicates apace for day scholars to eat . Place is overcrowded .
The quality of teaching is mid . Some teachers dont relly know what they are teaching .some just cant communicate properly while some are biased and egotistic. I would say that there are a good number of decent teachers too
I would say it is easy to get placed in srm with a good amount of focus but the majority of ppl get placed into company that mass recruit. Therefore the average package itself seems to be low. College is supportive though
The college has well-developed infrastructure with all essential amenities like modern classrooms, labs, library, and recreational spaces, providing a comfortable and supportive learning environment..
The academics are good, though the teaching quality is average. However, students get ample time for self-study, which helps in better understanding of concepts. The college also hosts many hackathons and technical events that enhance practical knowledge and skills.
Placements can be truly assessed only through personal experience, but based on what we've heard from seniors and faculty, the placement opportunities so far seem promising and well-organized.........
Compared to most other colleges, the fee structure here is quite similar.
Campus life is vibrant and engaging, with various events and activities happening throughout the year. These events provide a great platform to showcase talents beyond academics, whether it's in arts, sports, or technical skills. It creates a lively and inclusive environment for all students.
My college has an modern infrastructure designed for an holistic educational experience. It is super student friendly, as well as lots of spots to hangout. The whole campus is very green and environmental friendly as well, overall amazing infrastructure
In perspective of academics all our staffs are very well qualified and have years of experience in their respective field of study. Our library is well equipped with all the books as well as high speed wifi for studying. The lab staffs are skilled and are helpful too. On considering academic aspects, it's very nice.
When it comes to placements in SRM, there's a very strong reputation for almost every student graduating with a job. There are so many companies that offers placement, so even with a mid to decent gpa an decent job with a good lpa can we secured for sure. If you excel in studies and have experience in other fields you sure will secure an extraordinary job. Hence on aspects of placements, there needn't be a worry.
its worth our moneyy very gooodd i woul duggwsy ut
For campus life and value for money they just have to give rating no need to type aything
SRM Kattankulathur boasts a sprawling, well-designed campus with impressive infrastructure and an array of modern facilities. The university offers a diverse range of programs across multiple disciplines, supported by a regularly updated and industry-relevant curriculum. The campus is rich in greenery, dotted with various food outlets, a stunning central library, and numerous state-of-the-art laboratories that enhance the learning experience.
It does have a very decent placement percentage, avg is 7lpa to the highest dream jobs being 54LPA, Though as usual there's always competition in the rat race, it tracks down to your works and your capabilities so, they do have various opportunities and they do guide your very good.
iIt has all the fields you can think of, bachelor's, masters, phds, medical, mechanical, chemical, biotech, etc. They have an advanced curriculum and they include not just textbook subjects but also provide space for so many events, competition and opportunities.
Its worth the money we are not like you,to earn one rupee we have to die we have to polish 8 shoe to get 1 single bun 4 people need to be good means nothing is wrong (said by kamal hasan) but for we should be good no problem in harming 4 people (said by thala) amma eat 6 days over
Its a really good campus with many buildings and lots of canteens u have many good places to go nearby theres many colleage feast tht happens its very gooddd
As an SRM sophomore I love the huge campus with plenty of blocks and canteens with each one having its own speciality how can I forget the ground its well equipped for almost everything and I really hate the lack of parking near techparks.
The academics are pretty easy to cover, u can't expect much from the faculty but once u figure out the paper patterns its really easy to get em through.u may face some language barriers with few teachers.
As far as I know the placements are pretty solid top companies like Accenture, tata also visit the campus giving us internships.the college makes it pretty easy for students to get placements.they also offer placement training along with mock interviews
The fees is quite expensive but its okayy u get good education along with placement and top notch infrastructure
Campus Life is great, you have plenty of shops to eat from, many new stuffs to try out along with luxury cars rolling around the cars and the college fests they are amazingg
Even though SRM was my last option, i do not regret choosing this, It does provide a really autehtic clg life, it provides space for experiencing it all. For me, SRM gave me a lot already and I'm only done with my first year yet, I have a beautfiul community in my dance club where we all share, laugh, and build with same interests, So many clubs you can joine, so many activites you can explore, so many good conections and network worthy environment. SRM provides a wide range of required facilities and equiptments, you can find all sorts of labs for scietific needs to all required equiments for all sports and activities. And so many hostel within the campus, You also have so many beautiful food spots too. Apart rom that You have many temples and all sorts of stores. There are so many building for different majors, for CSE itself we have, 1.University Building ( esp for first years despite your Specialisation ) - classrooms are decent, first years hold 60-70 per classroom, you have free wifi that works really good inside the building, you have a high class library in the UB building, ub classrooms do have ac but not always. 2. Tech park one - Mostly accomodates second and thrid years, well structured classroom with promising ac, blackboards and projectors, We have the imac lab in this building. 3. Tech park two -The most minimal mordern univeristy built and opened recently, aetshetic building with escalators. Classooms are very good and neat and top tier. You have Glass classroomns, good view, Round tables etc. Ofc at the end of the day all colleges face all bad stuffs, but yeas, i dont think i would have had all this if i didnt choose anyother clg, and im sure i wont regret my choice, i mean im not being paid to advertise my clg but honestly SRM is a great choice if you value clg experince because leanring and getting a job is on your own unless your einstien ( I doubt even he will be able to crack the placements) I mean thy d have good packages, not the best packages. But overall They provide a really good student experince with regards too all aspects.
As said, academic wise they do have a good curriculum. Im pursuing Btech CSE core. So far the staffs are pretty good, unless you maintain a respectful connection with staffs youll be rewarded good internals. Faculty's ppt materials are more than enough to ace the exams.
Placements are pretty decent because obviously the rat ace is quiet huge, not al will get placed, you need to make sure you can fid your own job and as of them they do offer quite some placements, but i wouldnt say that they offer really good packages. Around 70% will gt offers. Highest is known to be 52LPA and avaerage is atlest 7LPA.
Btech Engineering courses are quite expensive in SRM, I pay around 4,75,000 per year. I think its not too bad, you get good exposure and good curriculum and all the activities but i think investing 5lakhs per year, that is 20L for a btech degree will be worth it depending on the job you aquire. Apart frm this Hostel and pg expenses are diffenrent. And each sem you have to pay exam fees. No books provided, its all digital.
Campus life and clg experience is pretty fun if you find good company, You have so much to explore, so many fests and activities and workshps, competetions. You have good spots in and around srm to have enjoyable time with your friends.
Overall its a good college, It all comes to the company you gain, talk and build a lot of network, joine clubs, find what you like and what dosent work for you, Have loads of fun, Internals are pretty imp, they will have a major effect in ur gpa, Just build a focused and balanced method youll enjoy your time at the college.
As an SRM CSE sophomore, I love our sprawling 250 acre campus, modern smart classrooms, a massive library and AC hostels with great mess options. Sports facilities and lab, clubs all of them are just top notch!
I've found the academics pretty solid- early classes start around 8 AM with regular internal exams ( class tests, labs, models ), and mandatory assignments per subject. Faculties are helpful and well qualified , the curriculum is industry - aligned with hands on projects.
The placements are fine, most of us get around 7-9 LPA offers, while the top performers of the batch grab 15-20 + LPA job offers. Last year Chennai campus saw ~5000 offers with average 7.5 LPA, Highest went 52LPA.
I get mixed vibes for value for money, the campus fees and the mess fees run 5-7 lakhs per year, but scholarships help. We do get average package of 7-8 LPA. So if you grind for it, it's all worth it.
Well campus life is vibrant and fun with an outstanding mixture of academics and fun. Mornings begin with 8 am lecture to campus chai runs, afternoons are for tech clubs or Aarush prep. Evenings, you will find us jamming at the TP stairs.
The srm College infrastructure is very clean and awesome. One of the moments I had in this campus. The infrastructure will give positive vibes and great scenerio. The infrastructure is also maintained neatly and clean.
In Chennai one of the top colleges is srm and education is top class in srm colleges. Learnings are great in srm and comprehensive study materials will be provided and faculty are also very knowledgeable in srm.
Placements are very good in srm colleges and top companies like Accenture and other company will come with good package. Training for the placements will be given during the college and you can crack every placements.
Worth for money. In my point of you srm providing good education and placements and infrastructure also very nice. It is worth for the money what we spend for all the years. Return on investment is high in means of placements.
I got too many memories overall period in srm colleges. Positive and negative moments happened. Anyway overall good experience in this srm clg and I have learnt a lot during throught out the period Even though I had some struggles.
Well equipped for students we are willing to attend the engineering basic knowledge and want to share all the basic concepts for proper standard of living. It had great infrastructure for students as well teachers.
As per our college academics we always have right place to get a good character certificate with a hard work result and a better experience for every aspects of subjects. We are pleased to get some experience in our academic advisor group.
A quite good for market jobs as well different project based job we got chance to excel our skill to grab job opportunities in market. They gives better trainings as well knowledge regarding job sectors.

Hello,
Between VIT Chennai and SRM Kattankulathur for Electronics Engineering with VLSI specialisation, VIT Chennai is generally better in terms of:
Placements: VIT has a slightly better placement record, especially for core electronics and VLSI roles.
Core companies: More core and semiconductor companies like Intel, NXP, Qualcomm, and Texas Instruments tend to visit VIT (mostly Vellore, but some do come to Chennai as well).
Reputation: VIT has better industry recognition and alumni network in the core field.
So, if you are focused on VLSI and core job roles, VIT Chennai is a better option than SRM Kattankulathur .
Hope it helps !
