Hi Rekha,
There can be plenty of reasons but the genuine one is about health issues. You have to write a letter on behalf of the person who will attend the counselling with stating the reason and your signature supported with verification ID

Not sure about what reason will work, but it is in your best interest to not skip the counselling process because they may not consider your reason of not being present.
