Note: Candidates who have passed the qualifying exam with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for reserved category) can apply for the PGECET 2024 exam. • Candidates willing to be admitted in Ph.D at Osmania University must fulfil the course requirements prescribed according to the OU entrance exams.

• Candidates awarded a research fellowship, either through a national-level test conducted by national-level organisations such as ICAR / ICMR/ DBT or by a national-level organisation (such as DST-INSPIRE fellowship) or Teacher Fellowship applicants subject to clearance by the Dean, CDC, OU OR  qualified in the UGC-NET/CSIR UGC NET/SET-TS/AP/SLET/JEST/GATE /GPAT examination are exempted from the Ph.D eligibility Test.

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the Eligibility Test and will be notified for an interview. Also, they need to submit a research proposal.

• The final selection will be made based on the Ph.D. Eligibility Test, interview, verification of documents and payment of the fees.
