PICT Pune Admission Process

Two tiers of admissions are available for the SCTR Pune Institute of Computer Technology. Four PG and five UG programmes at the PICT Pune are accepting applications. Before submitting an application for PICT Pune admission, the candidate must pass an entrance exam, such as the MHT CET, JEE Main, or GATE. Academic merit and entrance exam outcomes will be combined to determine PICT Pune admission.

PICT Pune Application Procedure 2024

Go to the official website of SCTR Pune Institute of Computer Technology.
Choose the 'Apply Online' option from the PICT Pune website.
Complete the PICT Pune application form.
After paying the PICT Pune application cost, submit the application.

The SCTR's Pune Institute of Computer Technology, Pune offers undergraduate admissions to five BE/B.Tech programmes that are for the duration of 4 years.

PICT Pune B.Tech Admission Process

The aspirants must appear for the MHT CET/JEE Main exam.
Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements can submit their applications on the official website.
Candidates must meet the authorities' set cutoff.
Candidates must register in order to participate in the Centralised Admission Procedure (CAP).
The shortlisted candidates should attend the counselling session.
The selection of applicants for admission to PICT Pune will be based on how well they performed in the entrance exam.
The seat allocation will be communicated to the final selected candidates via a registered phone number or email ID.
The candidate must always present the necessary documentation.
To complete the PICT Pune admissions procedure, the applicant must pay the course fee to reserve their seat.

The SCTR's Pune Institute of Computer Technology, Pune's official website has an online application form that candidates must complete.

Sir I got 76 %ile in JEE Main From OBC-NCL category,can I eligible to get admission in PICT Pune?

Hello aspirant,
PICT Pune is going to be a bit dificult as per you percentile in the reserve category which can move up the rank above 80k. Cut offs are generally below 20k every year for Computer Engineering, and they fall depending on the demand of the stream. They, however, change every year. But to be honest, you have very slim chances of getting into the institution. Securing at least above 90 lets a student dream of something better.

Being a e w s category student and as you have achieved 80.96 percentile in JEE mains examination so on the basis of EWS category charge for you to take admission in Pune Institute of Computer technology which was established by society for Computer technology research in the year of 1983. Your result in JEE mains is hopeful on the basis of EWS category reservation policy you will get 10% reservation in respect of any admission so there is a bright chance for you for taking admission in Pune Institute of Computer Technology,Pune, Maharastra.

IIIT PUNE & PICT PUNE WHICH COLLEGE IS BETTER?

Hope you are doing great! Here's your answer!

PICT is a much better options because the difference between IT and CS placements in PICT is almost 0. All companies who hire CS students allow IT students to apply too. Now for those wondering about difference in Course structures between the two the IT 2012 onwards syllabus is much better and well structured . PICT beats all colleges of Pune including COEP wrt acads . So PICT IT >>>> IIIT Pune CS .

The college fee in PICT is 3.86 lacks for 4 years and VIT Pune is 7.20 lacks for 4 years. Infrastructure is more in PICT compared to VIT Pune. Round -3 JEE mains cutoff rank for PICT is 10984 and that of VIT Pune is 22518 for the IT branch. PICT Pune placements 2020 witnessed the highest package of INR 43.33 LPA . Over 115 companies participated in the placement drive. Over 351 male students and 203 female students were offered placement offers by top companies. The placement percentage of PICT has also increased to 84.06%

I only heard good things about the institute from him. Here are some facts about IT at PICT and CSE at IIIT-Pune, which may help you to decide.

Teachers:

All of the faculties of IIIT-Pune are Ph.D. holders from institutes like IIT KGP, NITs, and foreign universities.
Most of the faculties of PICT are M.tech or still pursuing their PhDs.

Degree:

Students get B.tech in IIIT-Pune as compared to a B.E. at PICT.
IIIT-Pune's curriculum doesn't include subjects like Civil, Engineering Drawing, Mechanics, Mechanical, Chemistry which are of no use in the course of CSE.

Institute of National Importance:

IIIT-Pune is like all the IITs, NITs, IIITs which is an Institute of National Importance( INI) which leads to a lot of Government funds and monetary support.
Students who did their 12th from the MP board or others can receive a full tuition fee waiver for 4 years of their B. Tech since IIIT Pune is an INI.

Students think that PICT is old so it’s better and yes it’s been around for 20 years since PICT’s inception and it has developed whereas IIIT-Pune is just 2 years old and has the potential for tremendous growth.
