GVPCE Visakhapatnam Admission Process

Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam offers 7 undergraduate courses and 13 postgraduate courses to the students. B.Tech course is offered by GVPCE Visakhapatnam on the basis of AP EAMCET conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada followed by counselling conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). For MCA, aspiring candidates have to appear and qualify ICET conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) followed by participation in the counselling process. For M.Tech, scores of GATE are accepted by Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam. The detailed admission process of Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam are given below:

B.Tech

Candidates have to register online, apply and appear for Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, Medical Common Entrance Test AP EAMCET conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Kakinada.
Based on the marks secured in class 10+12 and AP EAMCET with a weightage of 25% and 75%, a cutoff will be released and candidates have to meet the cut off requirement.
Further, based on the marks secured in AP EAMCET, candidates have to participate in the online counselling process of AP EAMCET conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
Final admission will be based on the marks secured in the entrance test, participation in the counselling process, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.

MCA

Candidates have to register online, apply and appear for ICET conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE)
Based on the marks secured in ICET, a merit list will be prepared.
Further, based on the marks secured in ICET, candidates have to participate in the counselling process and seat allotment.
Final admission will be based on the merit list, participation in the counselling process, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.

M.Tech

Aspirants have to apply and appear for GATE and secure valid scores.
Candidates have to apply online on the website of the college.
Admission will be based on the marks secured in GATE and candidates will be shortlisted accordingly.
Shortlisted candidates will be offered admission on the basis of valid GATE scores, institute level document verification and fee payment.

1: What is the M.Tech admission process?

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in engineering/technology from a recognized University. They should have AMIE/AMIETE or similar qualifications recognized by UPSC as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech and a valid GATE score / PGCET score conducted by APSCHE. They should satisfy local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the AP Educational institutions.

2: What is the M.C.A fee structure?

The tuition fee is Rs 42,200 under convener category and category B per annum. The duration of MCA is 2 years. Since its inception, 23 batches of students have graduated from MCA program as of 2018.

3: What is the admission criteria for B.Tech?

Under category A, candidates must have passed the Intermediate examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects for admission at GVP. They should have qualified the EAMCET examination.
Under Category B, candidates should have passed intermediate or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% of marks in the prescribed group subjects or cumulative grade point average (CGPA) equivalent to 5 on a scale of 10.

4: What are the various streams of engineering offered at GVP?

The various engineering streams offered at GVP are chemical engineering, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electronics and communications engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, information technology and mechanical engineering.

5: How many courses are offered at GVP?

GVP offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The UG courses available at GVP are B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, B.Sc-Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, B.Sc-Mathematics, Electronics and Computer Science and others. faculty in our college helped us very well and supported students. teaching is very good and explained the classes in digital mode like power point. curriculum is very useful for us to get placed. pass percentage is 83%.

I am an alumni student, completed mechanical engineering. Faculty is good and always there for us in any doubt clarification. They used to be friendly with the students which helps us to create a strong bond among us. Our curriculum is easy-going no worry about the scoring marks and all.

hope you are doing well

To be very honest if you have got 16k rank in jee mains let me tell you that it's not possible for you to get a cse branch in any of the NITs/IIITs so let me tell you that you should rather go for a private college like BITs Pilani, VIT vellore, SRM University, Manipal University.

6k rank is too good in eamcet .you can get in jntuh but that depends on the stream you gonna choose.

And your category also plays an important role.

You can always keep your heads up if you are looking for JNTU.If you have a qouta like OBC and SC/ST,then your chances are getting even higher to get an admission into that college.

yes!! you can get admission in Gayathri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering in the stream you preferd.you can also get admission for any stream in the college.
