Hello Natraj,
One can join UVCE only through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) and DCET (Diploma Common Entrance Test) which are conducted by KEA(Karnataka Examination Authority).
There are no payment and management seats.
However if you are from defence or from north east states, you might get nominated seats through your state.
All the best!
UVCE is far better compared to other engineering college..( may be i have to leave RVCE,BMSCE and PESIT)
FACULTY: Their qualification is good but you cannot depend upon them.
This will teach how to read on your own
Trust me it doesn't matter you will manage.
INFRASTRUCTURE: Computer science department has good infrastructure but other departments has average one.
what is the difference in learning sitting in the A/C room and non A/C room. People who are willing to study will study anywhere .
But once in a week u go to lab so no need to worry about that.
ENJOYMENT: Trust me if you want max enjoyment then just come here.
SYLLABUS: Almost similar to VTU but with slight changes and good to.
VTU people will learn java in 7th sem but we learnt that one in 4th sem.
Many companies will ask java so that we will be much better in java.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES: If you are interested in such things and UVCE is there too. IEEE is there , 4 fests per year so that you can be involved in that too.
PLACEMENTS: You might be thinking that even though this college has bad infrastructure and teaching how this college is in top 10 college list and the placement is the reason.
Many core companies will come and hire you .
Over 110 companies have visited last year .
Those companies wont ask for your infrastructure or teaching, what they need is your skill ( dont worry UVCE will teach that ).
It doesn't matter you sat in A/C room or not.
uvce is mainly known for its placements. Lots of companies visit general motors, godrej, hilti,LinkedIn,royal Enfield, bharat petroleum, Goldman Sachs,Texas instruments, asahi, acc cements,l&t,.....etc and many more software, electronics companies.Mass recruiters like Infosys ,wipro, etc also visit.placement is very good in cs,is,ec dept followed by mech ,electrical and civil.(civil placements is bit poor compared to others).
If you can keep aggregate above 70%..you will definitely get placed.
Finally,
Just join UVCE so it will show you what Engineering is..
Hello dear,
Yes, uvce is good for architecture it provides good education and faculties are very experienced and helpful.so you have to go for it however you can also go for other colleges like rvce, msrit, bmsce.
Hope This Helps.
Hello,
hey there.. well there are two important things to consider here:
1. You can stop thinking of doing BE/BTech and go ahead look for internship opportunities in mechanical/automotive companies.
You will find more contacts and opportunities that way.
Internship is the key to, knock up a good job.
However Your starting salary might be less, as companies have pay scales that are designed taking your qualification into count.
2.On the other hand, if you DO go ahead and do BE/Btech. Your knowledge is going to improve, you will get 4 years and multiple opportunities to gain some basic skills in your domain.
However, You are NOT guaranteed a job even if you do BE. Just that your starting salary would be a little higher.
personally, if i was in your shoes, I would go with the first point.
If that did not work out, I would definitely start a business of my own.
Its difficult to setup and grow, but a business is any day better than a salaried job.
Yes u can apply for mechanical engineering as well but not all colleges will have this flexibility.
Following link provides entire details of applying for lateral entry in mechanical engineering after diploma in Manipal university.
Have a look at it. You can try for other colleges too.

Hey Nancy,
You want to do part time job along with your engineering studies in EEE.
First of all syllabus of EEE is very vast. I don't think that you will get extra time for doing job and if you will do preparation for GATE/other then forget about part time job.
But normally you will get 2-3 hours daily for fun. You can utilize it!
All colleges/Universities have the same condition. They will teach you 6 to 8 hours daily.
Hope this helps you!
Congratuations for getting this much rank in this prestigious engineering entrance exams.
I am sure that you will definitely get colleges and branch of your choice and I wish you all the best for your career.
Visit this link in order to have more genuine idea regarding which colleges and branch you will get.

I am listing out few colleges for you
Vce being one of the oldest engineering colleges in India as in historic campus with basic infrastructure the facilities include classrooms and laboratories with smart class and aur department as all necessity equipments for practical work the library is well started with academic resources, and seminar hall
One of the best college in Bengaluru, And it has best infrastructure along with that it built in 1917 by a Sir M Visvesvaraya college of Engineering. In last year complete college is altered and established in better manner as described in present technology .
College building is quite good, lab equipments are too old, beautiful rock garden. But College campus to too small compare to other collegs. events happen every year, but imagine how grand feasts in government College.
