- To appear for the US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination, the candidate needs to be a postgraduate with a degree or licence in Commerce. The degrees and profiles can include Masters of Commerce, MBA, Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Member of the Company Secretaries in India, Member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
- Indian CAs with B.Com graduates are also accepted in the USA, but this criterion may vary depending on the State.
