I got 98.34 percentile in jee mains but i am going to fail in physics class 12 cbse.Can I still get any iiit/nit in same year ?

I don't think u can get into any IIT or NIT by the percentage u have secured...u need a minimum 98% above for get seat in NIT or IIT. As per getting a seat in the same year...yes you can get a seat this year..even I am also in the same problem like you. I might fail my maths 2b exam in my SSC board because the paper was very tough for us. But the course of action is probably a compartment examination in which we can re write our subject in which we failed and pass it. But remember. Don't fail in more than one subject or you will be retained.hope this helps.. I did a lot of research about this for my case too... And this was the conclusion I drew

As per your fetched percentile in the JEE mains January session you have the chances of getting the good government institutions but as you are assuming that you might will get fail in the Physics , since this is only your assumption infact this year the authorities have developed have designed the tough paper, so might be they will go with the lineant checking such that maximum students can pass and in case if you fail in the Physics domain then yaah you won't be able to get the seat in any of the IIT / NIT premises.
