Iiit BH has a small campus but after the recent construction, the infra has improved.the hostels have 3 bedded sharing rooms but a new hostel with ac single rooms have been made which would be functional by august 2018. The faculty is okay.placements are definitely improving as more people from jee are joining this college.if it gets into josaa counselling we could see closing ranks for cse within 20k. College life is pretty good here,sports facilities are not up to the mark but one can live with it. Overall a nice experience to be here.

The college has a nice environment outskirts in the city of BBSR . It lacks research and development. It has good faculty members. The clubs are not active yet they need more activities to be happening. The college has 5 working days and weekend are off and one gets time to study.

College is in a remote location with issues with transportation at times but every bane comes with a boon since its a quiet and peaceful environment a student can ask for. The food in hostel is better than many colleges visited. And to it the rooms are spacious.

This is a good College for CSE and IT students . The companies visiting the campus are generally IT companies . Coding is a very vital part of the Engineering life here . The students who know how to code can get placed in good companies like SAP, DELL .

The most interesting thing about this place, this college has a HPC set up of really crazy configuration, where you can implement your high end projects, experiments. The institute is located in outskirts so the atmosphere is really pleasant over here.

Infrastructure is very good compared to other colleges in Bhubaneswar. Labs are well equipped, the classrooms are nice too. The hostels are equipped with facilities such as geysers, washing machines and aquaguards, all functioning properly. The teaching staff could use some improvement. Although new, more passionate faculty are joining this institute, it is still miles away from competing with IITs. Placements are very average for an institution of such reputation. if you are from EEE (like me) and have no interest in computer science, then it will pose a problem for you. There have been no core companies or R&D companies visiting the college as of now. But things look bright in near future.

Our college has a treasure of knowledge in terms of its knowledgeable faculties, students who are always ready to implement the three I's of IIIT, that is, Imagine, Innovate and Inspire. The environment is very soothing and eye pleasing due to the greenery all around. A lot of well-known and reputed companies visit the college and hire the immense talent. Along with the placement activities, a lot of seminars, workshops etc. are also held which helps in enhancing the skills of the students. The hostel is also equipped with aqua guards, washing machines, Television sets etc. Students studying here are full of new ideas, aspirations etc. and are always ready to prove themselves in all fields.

There’s a huge wealth of experience to tap into, not only in academics, but in almost everything one loves to do. There are a plethora of opportunities to pursue and to hone one’s skills. One gets to know and inspire from the best minds of the country. I myself have learnt a lot in the time I spent here. We are super knowledgeable and well-qualified. All kinds of teaching methods like projecting slides, playing videos and writing on boards are used. But, the industry exposure is little less than expected. The curriculum is very well-planned and is very useful for the overall development of a student.

Placements : Placements in IIIT are of average type. According to your CGPA, you get job chances. A minimum 6.5 CGPA is needed in every semester. Average salary 3 LPA. Infrastructure : The campus is totally covered with a high-speed Wi-Fi network. Here, you can join any sports that you want. Hostel facilities are also good. The food quality is also good. You can take mess as well as food in the canteen. Faculty : The faculty has a good experience. All teachers are good in behaviour and communication. All of them are trying their best to better the life of students. Teachers used good ways to teach students. They did tutorials as well as practicals with students to make them understand everything.

College has Good Infrastructure . The quality of Faculties are pretty descent . Student's life here will be pretty exciting with lot of intra-college events conducted by the Student Council The placement here is pretty decent too with some really great companies like DELL, SAP visiting for campus recruitment.

The college is at a nascent stage in terms of the industry exposure, curriculum, experience of faculty members, research to name a few.It would take at least 2-3 more years to match with the overall industry standard and compete(across other parameters) with other decent colleges in India.It's very difficult to strike a balance between what is taught and what is required in the industry but, if a student can learn the requisite skills and apply them on his own,then it that would be great.The college canteen provides decent menu which is one of the cheapest across all engineering colleges in India,though not regularly updated. Since the institute is located at the outskirts of the city,bus facility is provided twice a day in order to facilitate the to and fro movement of the students from the city to the institute. Hope the institute adopts the best trends across every field and advances in every aspect with time.

IIt bbsr is one of the most widely renowned colleges in the nation today ,not only at the state but also at the national level.Despite being a relatively new institute,it has managed to carve a niche for itself in the field of technology education in a short span of time.The exposure provided here is unparelled and it provides you with a plethora of opportunities in whichever field/area you are passionate about.The campus boasts of a well planned infrastructure considering that the hostel is placed at a very less distance from the classroom building.This ensures that the students reach the class on time and that too in a hassle free manner.Moreover the hostels are very well maintained with proper recreational facilities in the form of sports of various kinds and well equipped rooms.The college has a very good placement record and the quality and number of companies visiting the campus is increasing every year, all thanks to the higher authorities and the placement office who are continuosly working on it.The bond that is built in the college does not stop at helping in courses,placements and interviews but overall it greatly helps one to develop a wholesome personality.The education program here seeks to connect the classroom curricula with real world situations that the students will encounter after graduation.Financial aid opportunities are also provided to the students,thus increasing the diversity of student population,with students from foreign countries coming to pursue courses over here,as is suggested by the word "international".I came across some very exceptional professors who are ready to go to any length for solving the queries of the students and provide guidance and support in any matter whatsoever.Director and Dean sir also have a very good understanding of the students as they come down to their level, serving as professors to impart lessons to the students of certain departments.The college has exceptionally good competitive environment which is stills in the students the spirit of healthy competition and team work, which are the prerequisites to lead a successful life.The students are encouraged to be on their toes, ready to face the challenges of tomorrow and be keen on learning all the new concepts both inside and outside the curricula in order to keep in touch with the latest field of education.In addition to that, there are regular sessions of meetings where the director and dean sir personally interact with the students and encourage the latter to share their personal views and problems.The fees charged is very much affordable taking into account that the fee structure has been designed keeping in mind the interests of the students in particular.The students here are nurtured with a view to help them reach their goals by coming out of their comfort zone in every possible way.They develop their forte and work upon their Achilles heel to leave no stone unturned and make the best use of their time.In a nutshell, if you choose to join IIt bbsr, it will go down as one of the best decisions you have ever taken in your life. :D :D Wishing you all the best for life and success in your future endeavours. When I came to IIIT I was both anxious and excited, but I never thought that at the end of this journey I would be left with some unforgettable and quite worth it memories. Presently, in the final Year of B.tech (I have only about 3-4 months to spend inside this college campus) and with 2 placement offers at IBM and Infosys, all I can say regarding this college is that I have seen a great transformation in front of my eyes since the very first day. The college is developing and developing at a decent pace. I clearly remember a discolored, ugly looking, faintly lighted and dull campus where we had nothing much to do inside the campus but sit and get bored in our respective rooms. But thanks to those amiable bunch of souls whom I met at IIIT, made my life easier and durable. And to add to this we were introduced to the college's techno-cult fest, ADVAITA, a 4 day gala event which seemed to be the best part of IIIT. And Yes, not to forget the literary club events(debates, MUN's, MJPC, etc). But with the passing years I have learnt that these are not the few things of interest at IIIT. More things came by to add flavors to our lives. With passing years, I saw the infrastructure develop. The hostel walls got colored, tennis courts and basketball courts were developed, the stage was built, the fields became better, more trees planted, more flowers bloomed and eventually a colourful, greener, lighted and a more lively IIIT was seen. Down the years, I saw a very active technotronic club, the robotic enthusiasts, the timely hackathon events,the college magazine TECHAWARE, and more planned and more interesting events were organized which were evenly spaced through out the year. It's a great place to explore and showcase the talented individual that lies within you. Needless to say, the faculties at IIIT are highly qualified and experienced, some are strict and some are friendly but they are very helpful. But yes, sometimes the lectures might turn out to be boring but then its OK, with time one learns to deal with that. IIIT is strict about attendance and if you have less than 75% attendance then you might end up facing some trouble, unless of course your friends help you out with proxies. And of course you will surely learn to manage multiple stuffs and a lot of pressure at the same time. In short, IIIT prepares you well for your future. Coming to the accomodation facilities, the hostel rooms at IIIT are good and spacious and have allotments of 3-4 students. Each student is allotted a bed, a table, a chair and an almirah. The rooms have plenty of windows and are windy and well ventilated. The students are not allowed to keep any electronic appliances apart from study lamp. Though there have been fewer incidents of robbery and theft inside the campus, I suggest to be careful about your valuable belongings like mobiles, laptops and money. The girls hostel Warden is stricter than the boys hostel Warden and I must say that the girls might face a tough time dealing with this foul mouthed woman. But anyways it is easier than dealing with the mess food. But it is eatable at least with a nice variation of menu. Students are given chances for internship and the overall placement opportunities are fair enough. Many famous personalities and celebrities have visited the campus for various events, performances and talks. This year IIIT had its first ever convocation which was a grand event with the CM and governor as the chief guests. Well, We enjoy our life to the fullest amidst all those assignments, projects and semesters. Overall it has been one of the best experiences. And as the time to bid the final adieu is fast approaching, all I realise is I will be left with a bunch of great friends and a flood of memories.

1.It's not an INI.go to Mhrd/Ugc site u won't find any information stating IIIT BH to be an INI and it's created after an act of legislative assembly of Odisha,and to be INI it must be created by an act of Parliament. 2.It's not comparable to any IITs/NITs. See the faculty profile.and funding in IITs/NITs are much much higher as well. 3. It doesn't have good placement records by any standards,here in Bhubneshwar local colleges(like silicon,CV raman) have equal statistics if not better. 4.Fees is very high in comparison to other govt colleges(it's higher in comparison to private colleges as well)For the 2016–2020 batch tuition fees alone will cost 5.6Lakhs and some other fees like library/infra development will add up and make it 8 Lakhs,there are hostel and mess fees extra as well. 5.Food is worst here. you have to order something out of regular menu(which is very costly) to get eatable food. 6.Infrastructure is poor,literally.Lab facilities are worse,there's nothing in the lab in comparison to colleges like silicon even.also u are allowed to go to lab only 3 hours in a day. 7. I have uploaded a screen shot of my fee structure. Notice the red marked amount. It was the amount which was taken from ALL THE STUDENTS of university as a penalty just because some anonymous students had broken the WIFI modem(Rs 2000 only ) of their floor.

It would take an orator or a diplomat of the highest order to review this college without making the review sound like a rant. In terms of infrastructure, there is not even a vending machine for getting food or drink at odd hours, in the entire campus. No faculty member is well acquainted with the subject that they are supposed to teach. Communicating with them is yet another herculean task. Fumbling non rigorous lectures are what you will be signing up for four long years. Apply now to ruin your life!

Being in the final year in this institution, I could not reap the upcoming infrastructural facilities (which is now under construction). However, it is good to know that IIIT Bhubaneswar is growing so eminently. In fact, IIIT Bhubaneswar's revision of course curriculum has paved it's way for the betterment of all the upcoming batches so as to endure the pressure of corporate world which lies ahead of them in future. Overall I am content to see all the changes that are being made in placements, curriculum as well as the infrastructure but at the same time, there is melancholy for the fact that I could not experience what's to come.

IIIT-B is one of the best places to start your college life! This college has excellent faculty -the institute has been able to recruit some of the best teachers. Many people don't know about the college because of less marketing. The only thing college lacks is the location - it in not in a Metro. Most of the students are residing in the hostel. ROI of this college is good for which one can prefer this college to other colleges present in the same league. Faculties are highly experienced. One can get good industry exposure by working in so many projects offered to the students.

Decent campus , decent location. Great hostel . Catching up on other facilities such as gym and in campus general store and few food outlets. Faculty is highly qualified and experienced. Well equipped labs for IT , Electrical and Electronics.A lot of student chapters such as IEEE chapter, ACM chapter in place with an upcoming Entrepreneurship cell . Various events by numerous clubs smoothly organized and received heavy participation. The Techno-Cult fest Advaita, held every year is a wonder on its own. Great placements so far. Great campus and hostel life.

Was in the second batch of B.Tech program to be enrolled in the college for graduation.A lot of the parts were still under construction. Not very developed in terms of infrastructure when we first came but gradually developed while we reached our final year. The faculty was quite good with a vast range of domain knowledge and industry experience but were restricted to the curriculum because of the university policies and deadlines on examinations. Quite decent placement with almost 80% of the batch being placed and another 10% opting for higher studies.Great hostel life.

Iiit Bhubaneswar is present in remote from town. Transportation facility was very poor as there was only 1 bus for more than 1000 students. Hostel rooms were good but water problem is there. Mess food was really messy. Faculties were strict but some of them were extraordinary with their teaching abilities, while some of were very poor in their respective subjects. There were laboratories and workshops but there were very less instruments to meet students requirements. But there is one good thing that up to 90 percent student got placed in multinational companies. Their salaries were good. I feel they should not only focus on campus placement but other things too. There was no facility for industrial training or extra useful experiment apparatus which are very much essential in a students b.tech career. Moreover, they should also focus on hostel facilities and mess foods.

Lab , the classroom was great. Means environment for the study was excellent. Lab instrument was duly provided. And there was always a faculty to guide you whatever you want to do. The infrastructure of IIIT is one of Best. I've been to NIT Rourkela and VSUT Burla. But IIIT-BBSR in comparison to infrastructure is one the best. But unfortunately the lack of exposures , poor management decisions, lack of interest of some faculties, that makes the IIIT to downfall. More exposure to the real world research field & better decision people should be placed.Hotel facility was good but regular power cut and unavailable of water , which was so frustrating. And placement rules during 2014, was the worst one. It was unexpected as I never seen such kind of rules in other colleges.

It was good. The hostel and college were so near that we really had fun there. The college is in outskirts which give a very serene and green environment to dwell in. It was life lived in 4 years. Made friends for life.. made memories for life. The college has a good faculty with a good infrastructure. There are societies which handle all the fun activities. It's a good institute to study in.

I would like to summarize what I have gained in those 4 years I spent at IIIT 1.Infrastructure wise IIIT has grown a lot since I joined in 2012. 2.Had an awesome experience with a lot of friends. 3.Really affordable in comparison to a lot of private engineering colleges. 4.IIIT brand name itself holds a great value 5.Over 90% placement record with some students bagging as high as 9 lpa. Overall I would say those were the best moments I spent before entering to the corporate world. Hope you have a nice and successful stay too.

The cost of education is at par with private colleges. But being controlled by State Government, the ROI of the institute is better than most other private colleges in Odisha. Infrastructure is good and developing at rapid pace. Course needs to be tuned to industrial requirements. Hotel life was awesome. One of the best hostel in Odisha. Student crowd was excellent.

The institute is supposed to have state of the art VLSI lab. Funding has been approved. Dedicated labs for Windows,Linux, and Mac-based devices. The program is a residential program. The hostel is one of the best in Odisha state. Sufficiently spaced rooms with an overhead fan for each occupant. Tennis court, cricket field, and badminton court are present. Common room with satellite TV and sound system. Faculties are good. Courses can be modified to suit industry requirements. Student crowd was excellent. People have started working in big MNC. Some of them have taken entrepreneurial initiatives. The cost of education is at par with private colleges. But being controlled by State Government, the ROI of the institute is better than most other private colleges in Odisha.

An institute , whose foundation stone was laid down by Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, IIIT Bhubaneswar has established itself to be a fairly decent college. I belonged to the fourth batch that graduated from the college. With a batch intake of 240 students ( 4 branches, 60 people per branch ), the learning atmosphere was good. The faculty was able enough to impart quality education to the students. The infrastructure was better than most other colleges. The hostels were equipped with basic modern facilities. However, initially, we did have connectivity problems, since our college was located at a remote location , far away from the city. But, bus services provided by the college four times a day ensured that we never were disconnected from the main city. Also, since it was a relatively new college, placements weren't as profound, compared to other premier institutes. However, the college still managed to place 70-80 % of the students with an average salary of 4.5-5 lpa . Some really good companies came to our institutes for placements. Also, there was little or almost no industry exposure. The college should tie up with the local industries to train students. Since it was a very new college, core companies didn't pay a visit. Hopefully, that changes over the next few years. Hostel life was good.

It will go very high in its future years.

Amazing college life, good faculty, decent placements. Hostel life is okay. The faculty is trained and the institute is growing so joining it isn't a bad take. This can be considered as an option if nothing good is available at your rank. Not a bad trade at all.
