You can do diploma in polytechnic colleges. If you select, electrical engineering in diploma, it will be easier for you to study. But you can apply for most of the diploma courses. So choose based on your interest. Some institutions may admit you directly in second year also through lateral entry.

see definitely you may apply for diploma courses. see 10th or 12th pass or iti pass students can take admission in diploma course (duration of 3 years) by clearing state entrance test for polytechnic admission. however iti pass students are eligible to directly take admission from the second year of diploma course. so I suggest you to directly contact with colleges if they have any vacancy now.
