if a student is scheduled caste but not from Punjab state , if he belongs to other state of india by origin then will his sc reservation be valid to take admission in panjab university chandigarh ?

Yes, the students who belong to the category of Scheduled Caste (ST) then the students are entitled for 15% reservation. It is not specified on the official website of the Panjab University whether the students should belong to inside Punjab or outside Punjab. The reservation facility is for all SC category students of India.

Thanks a lot sir for your answer. But sir i saw a pdf of panjab university chandigarh about reservation seat there it is mentioned that the student will be entitled to the concessions/benefits admissible to the scheduled caste/ scheduled tribes from the state of his origin and not from the state where he has migrated..

Yes, you are right but he will not loose the status of being a student a student of SC/ST and he will be awarded benefits from the belonging state but not from the state he is migrated to.
