Diploma in Nautical Science is a full time one year course offered by Indian Maritime University, Chennai.
The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT) or Indian Maritime University (IMU) followed by counselling and on satisfying the medical conditions prescribed for the course.
Academic Standard: The cadet must pass (10+2) or equivalent securing minimum 60% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) & 50% in English either in (10+2) or10th standard.
Age limit: Not more than 20 years as on 1st October of the admission year.
Physical Standard: The candidate must be medically fit and should meet the Medical Requirements as per M. S. Rule 2000 (for further details please Medical Requirement in Selection Procedure).
EyeSight: Vision should be 6/6 (normal) in each eye separately without visionary aid and no colour blindness.
