Placement Cell- The Placement Cell provides a platform for the students to prepare for their campus placements. It organises mock placement drives for the students to prepare for placements. It invites companies for campus recruitments.
Fine Arts Society- This Society promotes Fine and Performing Arts in the institute. It organises various events to achieve its aim.
Xaverian Quizzing and Debating Society- This Society promotes the culture of debating and quizzing in the institute. It organises various debate competitions and quiz competitions to encourage more people to generate interest in quizzing and debating.
Swar- It is the women's cell of the institute. It conducts women-centric activities in the institute like dancing, plays etc. Its aim is to empower women and send a strong message of women empowerment.
Xavier's Commerce Society- It is the representative society of the Department of Commerce of St. Xavier's College. It aims to enhance the participation of commerce students in seminars and events in Kolkata and elsewhere.
Xavier's Management Society- This Society discovers and manages the talent of students in the field of management. It provides a platform for the students to develop their management skills through various events, workshops etc.
Xaverian Film Academy- Students of the Mass Communication and Videography Department are the members of this Society. It organises its annual fest 'Cinematheque' every year. THis Society involves in short fiction filmmaking, documentary filmmaking, music videos, ad films, photography contests, film reviews, etc.
Xavier's Sociological Society- This Society aims to explore all the aspects of sociology. It strives to enhance its knowledge of sociology through various events.
Bengali Literary Society- This Society aims to explore various aspects of the Bengali literature. It holds meetings, discussions, debates etc. on Bengali literature to enhance its knowledge.
Hindi Literary Society- This Society aims to explore various aspects of Hindi literature. It holds meetings, discussions, debates etc. on Hindi literature to enhance its knowledge.
Xaverian Academy of Dance and Music- This Academy promotes the knowledge of dance and music amongst its members. It conducts dance and music events in the institute and represents the institute in inter-college dance and music events.
Xaverian Theatrical Society- This Society conducts theatrical activities in the institute. It conducts dramas, skits, plays etc. in the institute and takes part in inter-college theatre events.

- Candidates have to apply for admission online on the institute website.
- Shortlisting of candidates will be done by the institute based on the merit obtained in 10+2.
- Shortlisted candidates will be offered admission.
- If the candidates of Catholics, other Christians, SC, ST, OBC and schools administered by the Calcutta Province of the Society of Jesus category and economically challenged, physically challenged, outstanding sports persons and NCC Cadets category fail to secure the minimum required percentage (60%) in 10+2, may need to meet the Principal/Vice-principal/Dean for special permission to apply.

St Xavier's College, Kolkata has adequate infrastructure and provides all the necessary facilities to the students. The institute has a library that has a large collection of books and magazines and has a membership of the British Council Library and American Library. - Father Eugene Lafont Observatory (FELO)- FELO is a twin observatory, consisting of a stellar observatory with a motorised dome and a separate sliding roof observatory meant for solar observations.
- Student's Counselling Center- The Counselling Centre provides counselling to the students facing any issue, dilemma or confusion related to their career choices. Students are guided to perform better in their careers.
- Cyber Room- The Cyber Room is equipped with Internet connection, printer and scanner. It is the central source of internet access, printing and scanning facility at the institute.
- Laboratories- The institute has well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Statistics, Computer Science, Microbiology and Biotechnology Labs. These labs provide good practical training to the students.

admission to the under graduate course or B.Sc. course in the college St.xaviers college will be done on the basis of merit and personal interview conducted by the university and the eligibility criteria to get enrolled yourself in the same course is candidate must have done their 10+2 with PCM stream and secured a minimum aggregate of 60 percent marks in final examination.

In statistics cut off index score of above 195 in general.
Usually cut of is low for WB
The index score is calculated by taking the sum of the aggregate marks ( best of four,) and maths / stats marks

see integrated course means, you need to studies 3+2 years or 5 years duration of bachelors and masters, the final certificate of completion of this course is given after 5 years, so if you leave after 3 years, you may not get the only bachelors certificate, however if you are interested for phd or doctorate programme or masters in any other field you may apply after completing your integrated course program.
