Haldia Institute of Maritime Studies and Research is one of the premier institutions in Haldia, West Bengal, which was set up in the year 2002. This affiliated college has a vast 10-acre campus inside ICARE Complex, Marine Campus. Hence, it offers various programmes with regards to maritime and hospitality studies, with a total of 5 courses over 3 degree types. The institute has an enrolment of 420 students, who are supported by a faculty of 5 highly dedicated members.

Haldia Institute of Maritime Studies and Research offers a comprehensive set of facilities to the students for a better learning experience and all-round development with pride. The institute has separate hostels for both boys and girls in tune with the directives laid down by the Directorate General of Shipping, and all the facilities are according to the norms. The institute offers 5 full-time courses- B.Sc. Nautical Science, Diploma in Nautical Science, B.Sc. Culinary Science, B.Sc. Hospitality and Hotel Administration, and BBA Insurance and Risk Management.
