PRSCET remains one of the outstanding technical colleges operating in the state capital of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. The college is offering various engineering programs, for which admissions are mainly based on merit of an assessment worthy to consider for the applicants. The candidates for admission into PRSCET are mostly considered on their performance in various national/state-level entrance examinations for engineering programmes.
The expected general schedule for admission into PRSCET starts around the time of the academic calendar from August to September. For most applications, admissions are invited based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) and Kerala Engineering Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM).

Application Process
The application for PRS College of Engineering and Technology will change depending on the entrance examination taken by the candidate:
For admission through JEE Main:
Sit for the JEE Main exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Register for the state-level counselling process (check with Kerala government admission authorities for the details).
During counselling, fill out the college preference form by putting PRSCET in one of the options.
If allotment happens to PRSCET, report to the college for document verification and admission formalities.
Admissions through KEAM:
Apply for KEAM through the official procedure orchestrated by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala.
Take the KEAM exam from April 24–28, 2025, as per the prescribed schedule.
Register for the centralized allotment process, which will be conducted by CEE Kerala.
Fill in the college and course preference form along with available options for PRSCET.
In the case of allotment for a seat in PRSCET, follow through with the admissions process as instructed.
Selection Process:
The final selection is based on the performance of the candidate in either JEE Main or KEAM, followed by the counselling conducted by the respective authorities after that the allotment of seats is done based on rank, category, and availability in the preferred course in PRSCET.

Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Tech: The following six B.Tech courses are accorded by PRSCET:
Civil Engineering
Computer Science and Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Admission to these courses will be subject to the performance of the candidate in JEE Main or KEAM.
Eligibility for B.Tech programs are:
Candidates should have completed 10+2 or an equivalent level of schooling with subjects like Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
The qualifying marks in JEE Main or KEAM.
Any other criteria which are specified by the Kerala State Government and PRSCET.
