Sarabhai Institute of Science and Technology (SIST), Thiruvananthapuram, is the founder in engineering education in Kerala. The admissions are based on KEAM scores. The approved intake of students for B.Tech courses is 210 students in total and Computer Science and Engineering has an intake of a maximum of 60 students.

If there are not enough GATE-qualified candidates, admissions are based on marks obtained in the qualifying exam and a Test/Interview conducted by the college as per the guidelines of the university. There is an approved strength of 9-12 seats in each M.Tech course.
