How is SIMC Pune??? Salary package avg. To high?? Is experience more important than study ie. Entrance CAT etc.?
Hi,
Symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, Pune (SIMC) features in the top ten Mass Communication institutes in India. It offers MBA in Communication Management, M.A. in Mass Communication (Journalism) and M.A. in Mass Communication (Audio- Visual). For MBA in Communication Management, it offers four specialisations: Brand Communication, Public Relations, Media Management, Marketing and Media Analytics. SIMC gives admission through SNAP test.
Most of the reputed media houses and corporates visit the campus for final placements and summer internships. The average package is around 5 lpa and highest package offered is around 12 lpa. The fees is around 9.3 lakhs. You have to decide if the ROI is worth it for you or not.
As far as CAT is concerned, work experience matters but isn't the sole determining factor. Some institutes give weightage to it, some don't. But, at the end of the day, your preparation/ study matters irrespective of you being a fresher/ work-ex candidate, nothing can substitute hard work and fetch you the qualifying percentile in the concerned exam.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
