I have to fill UG forms for First year and I am interested in BSc in Microbiology. Do i have to select Bachelor of Science (autonomous) while filling Mumbai University form for this course

Nitin Kumar 30th May, 2024

No, you likely don't need to select "Bachelor of Science (autonomous)" while filling the Mumbai University form for a BSc in Microbiology if you're interested in the standard program offered by the university itself.

Mumbai University has its own affiliated colleges offering various undergraduate programs, including BSc in Microbiology. You would be applying for a seat under the university department for this course, not an autonomous college.

Look for options mentioning "BSc Microbiology" or similar wording while filling the application form. It might be listed under the "Sciences" or "Life Sciences" category. The Mumbai University application form might also have a separate section for applying to affiliated colleges. This section is typically for courses not offered by the university itself. You can choose to ignore this section if you're primarily interested in the standard BSc Microbiology program offered by Mumbai University.

My score in neet 2024 -630 from nta answer key ( gen.) .can I get good gmc ??

Manisha 30th May, 2024

Hello aspirant

With 630 marks in Neet you have fairly good chances of getting a medical seat in government medical college but which college you will get can't be predicted now. It will depend upon neet cut off 2024.

Cut off changes every year and depends upon various factors including number of students appeared in exam,  Toughness level of exam,  normalisation process,  seat intake and previous year's cut off etc.

The qualifying percentile For general category candidate is 50 percentile .

my signature in 12th boards hall ticket and in comedk hall ticket is different, will it create any problem during counselling

Nitin Kumar 30th May, 2024

A slight difference in your signature between the 12th board hall ticket and COMEDK hall ticket is unlikely to be a major issue during counselling.

The main purpose of the signature is for verification purposes. As long as you can confirm your identity through other documents like your admit card photo and ID proof, a minor signature difference shouldn't cause problems. There have been instances where candidates have reported slight signature variations between documents without facing issues during counselling.

If possible, try to maintain a more consistent signature going forward. This will avoid any confusion in future applications or documents. During counselling, ensure you carry all the required documents, including your photo ID, board admit card (original and photocopy), and COMEDK admit card (original and photocopy).

I had OBC certificate of year 2020 and caste community certificate of year 2018. But now it is required for my govt exam. Will it be validated at the time of document verification which wil be on 2024.

Nitin Kumar 30th May, 2024

The validity of your certificates for the government exam depends on the specific exam and the issuing authority.

Many states in India have an indefinite validity period for OBC certificates. This means your 2020 OBC certificate might still be valid for the 2024 exam. A few states might have a specific validity period for OBC certificates (e.g., 3 or 5 years). In such cases, your 2020 certificate might have expired.

I cant arrange my income certificate on time, for uptu councelling, and Im from obc-ncl, will i get any reservation benifits of obc if i dont upload my parents income certificate ?

Nitin Kumar 30th May, 2024

No, you most likely won't be eligible for OBC-NCL reservation benefits during UPTAC counselling if you cannot submit the income certificate on time. The income certificate is a crucial document for verifying your OBC-NCL (Non-Creamy Layer) status. UPTAC likely requires this document to ensure you meet the creamy layer criteria for availing OBC reservation benefits.

While unlikely, there might be a provision for submitting the income certificate later in the counselling process. Carefully review the official UPTAC website or counselling brochure for any such information.

I had not mentioned my version code in kcet exam so that what is the issue

Nitin Kumar 30th May, 2024

The biggest concern is a delay in evaluating your answer sheet. Since the version code helps link your answers to the specific question booklet you received, its absence could lead to confusion and require additional scrutiny during evaluation. This might delay the announcement of your results.

In a worst-case scenario, if there is an issue with the question papers themselves (e.g., missing questions or printing errors) and the version code is missing from your answer sheet, it might be difficult to conclusively determine which question set your answers correspond to.

The KCET authorities might need to manually verify your answer sheet by matching it with the questions in the specific version of the question booklet you received based on other details like serial number or markings.
