is it worth taking online Allen kota for droppers 2021? I have basic knowledge and scored 96 percentile with self study

ayushagarwal0909 13th Oct, 2020

Hey!

It totally depends upon you. If you feel like self study is sufficient for you then no need of taking coaching. Coaching classes are not a mandatory factor for clearing of any entrance exams. There are many students who excel in competitive exams like jee mains and advanced solely on self study. If you feel like your base is week and you are struggling with concepts and need guidance then yea definitely try for coaching or youtube learning. But if you have a good grasp of concepts and just need polishing (as visible in your score) I would suggest self study. But then final decision is yours.

The basic thing about coaching like Allen FITTJEE is that they constantly take examinations and that help polish your concepts and numericals. But you can get such exams online for free like NTA abhyas and many more.

You can even solve the last ten years iit question papers available easily on the internet. The thing is everything is available for free on the internet if you search for it.

And if you still feel that you need coaching then definitely go for it. It totally depends on personal needs.

With the right motivation and study materials you can excel in the exam without any coaching

Best of luck!

If you have any further queries, do not hesitate to ask.

(Self study tip: Focus on the basics and concepts and use internet for some extra information other than the ones given in the book)

can u tell my rank for govt med college chandigarh with 580 marks gen cat state quota...can i hope for admission here for mbbs

Anurag Khanna 13th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

Since you have not mentioned your home state so considering it as Punjab according to your profile.

According to the marks mentioned by you in the question your rank is expected to be in the range of 13064-16008, you can check out marks Vs ranks from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-result-marks-vs-rank

So on such marks and category you have good chances of getting GMCs in Punjab according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the lowest cut-off marks was 518 for Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital, Faridkot under Home state quota for General category. So you can get some other GMCs of Punjab like :-

  • GMC Amritsar
  • GMC Patiala

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-punjab

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor:-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

if I dont get a seat in josaa mick seat allocation, does it tell that i will not get seat in the 6 rounds or in csab?

Kamal Kishor Chaurasiya 13th Oct, 2020

Hi aspirant,

No, if you don't get seat in JoSAA mock seat allocation then it doesn't mean that you will not get seat in six rounds or in CSAB special round. It is like a sample depiction of what you are most likely to get among the choices you have filled. However, you must be very serious if you are not getting any seat in JoSAA mock allocation. You should indeed make some modifications in the preference order to ensure that you get a seat. Once you get a seat, be assure that you will get. So re-arrange your preference order. You can take the help of JEE Main and JEE Advanced college predictor tool by clicking on the following link to know which college and branch best suits you based on your rank and accordingly you xan make the preference order to get the best possible option depending on your rank and category: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
