I got 97 marks in jee mains and my rank in OBC -ncl is 16,000 can have a chance to get admission in nit

No. You don't have a possibility to get into nit with that rank.

Yes . You do have .You have an excellent rank . You will get into one of top 6 NIT's . Getting into the top three is difficult , but you do have hope with the other branches except core . Moreover , try to get into IIIT's , DTU . They are also doing well in their respective departments with great placements .
