To successfully pass the online MCA course and earn a degree, students must complete all the assignments and qualify for the online examinations. KIIT University will assess students’ performance based on two assessments - Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIE) and Online Examinations. In CIE, students have to work on assignments. Each subject has two assignments with 50 MCQs carrying two marks each. To sit for the online examination, students need to submit each assignment every semester, with 50% marks in each assignment.
Online examinations include 52 MCQs and three subjective-type questions and are conducted for two hours for each subject. The examinations are conducted tentatively in the months of January and July. At the time of filling in the online examination form, students must select the date, slot time, and subject. The weightage for the continuous internal assessments and online exams is 30% and 70%, respectively. After the conclusion of the exam, the results are declared within two months from the last date of the examination.
