Kannada University, located in Hampi, accepts cut off marks from various entrance exams along with their own entrance exam scores. There are several national-level entrance exams that students can take to qualify for PhD programs and Junior Research Fellowships (JRFs) in India. The National Eligibility Test (NET) is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC). This exam is for students who want to pursue PhD programs and also for those who want to be awarded JRFs in various disciplines.
