The university's Center for Proficiency Development and Placement Services (CPDPS) is in charge of managing the student placements. Students are assisted in identifying their areas of interest by the Centre for Proficiency Development and Placement Services, which also helps them get ready for the appropriate field. As per NIRF 2023 report, 20 students from the UG 5-year programme were placed with Mysore University median salary package of Rs 3,75,000. 15 students from the PG 1-Year programme students were placed with a median salary package of Rs 1,25,000 during the University of Mysore placements. 895 students from the PG 2-year programme received UOM median salary package of Rs 2,05,000. The CPDPS conducts industrial visits, training programs, specialised lectures on skill development and other sessions as part of Mysore University placement initiatives.

The quality of the placement is not up to the mark as it is a top university because the number of students are more in all branches for the branches like MBA and MCA it will be good for our bca courses not much good.

Placements for B.Com students are decent, but not exceptional. Some top companies do recruit from the campus, the overall placement rate and package offered is not attractive. There is a placement cell, who provides excellent help during placements.
