NIT TRICHY CHEMICAL: Faculty in NIT Trichy is excellent. Core subjects of Chemical Engineering like Process Dynamics, Reaction Engineering, Mass Transfer and Equipment Design have a really good faculty circle. It is everywhere, there are a few bad teachers too.
Most of the labs present fall just above the average standards as compared to top universities across India. The lab assistants are knowledgeable and student-friendly, and if you’re part of a team working on a project, there are sufficient facilities present to get the job done. Internship opportunities are also awesome here. In the Chemical Engineering department only 60–70% apply for placements. So far, the department has managed to have over 95% placement rate, with all the applied students being placed in one company or the other in the academic year 2018. Keep in mind that good institutes like NIT Trichy, allow all branch students to sit in Tech company placements. You will get opportunities in surplus.
NIT WARANGAL CHEMICAL: Faculty, Crowd and Infrastructure is good here also. Students of Chemical engineering are placed in core companies but their average package is 6-8 lakhs. So, chemical students here prepare for tech companies in their free time as tech companies offer very high packages in NIT Warangal.
NIT ROURKELA ELECTRICAL: There will be a good chance that you get placed. Students are allowed to sit for core, analytics and software profiles. You will get many job opportunities. So you need not worry about placements.Teachers in the department are not very student friendly. Unlike any other department in NITR you will have to work a lot harder to achieve good grades. However, placements of CSE and ECE are much better than electrical engineering. This is not only this college thing. Faculty in electrical, getting marks in electrical is difficult in all colleges. Placement opportunities are good in electrical engineering at NITR.
In short, all three NITs are good in faculty, infrastructure and placement opportunities. It all depends on the student's interest and student’s performance in college which will decide your future. In my opinion, NIT Trichy chemical is better than NIT Warangal Chemical. However, the branch is totally different in NITR, so it's up to you which college or branch you want to pursue. If you are least interested in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, then go with NITR Electrical Engineering.
Hope, it helps!
Dear Aspirant, with this percentile and category your general rank would be around 160304 - 180205. As per the previous year cutoffs (closing ranks) there are no options close to this at NIT Trichy. As its the topmost NIT among all 31 NITs its cutoff is going to be high for sure.
You can check all these cutoffs at official JOSAA website : https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Dear student,
NIT Tiruchirappalli is one the top NITs in the country and to get a seat in this premiere institute one has to get a very good be it home state student or an outside the state.
Looking at the percentile you have mentioned, it seems like your rank will be somewhere between 122760 - 138000 considering the fact that you are a general category student now as you unluckily failed to produce EWS certificate on time.
You can use our rank predictor to see your rank yourself. Below I am attaching the link for it.

Now coming back to your question, unfortunately it seems like you cannot make it to NIT Trichy with the rank you seem to be getting because NIT Trichy seats get filled 40000 for home sate general students in Joosa counseling.
You can check the cutoff in detail by visiting the link below.

The SC Other State Cutoffs for your preferred options are as follows,
CSE Trichy 51
CSE Surathkal 101
ECE Trichy 239
ECE Surathkal 338
SC/ST Rank somewhat varies with the CRL across years. But I would advice you to secure a ST Rank in this Range, you must target atleast a CRL between 50-60k, and hence, a Corresponding ST Rank enough to secure a great seat at NIT Trichy, Surathkal as well as Warangal and other Top NITs. For a CRL between 50-60k, you mist target a Percentile anywhere around 95 or a Corresponding score anywhere around 100-110/300 in JEE Main Attempt.
Hi aspirant,
Both the colleges mentioned are government owned public universities reknowned for their academics and high quality education. Let us compare MCA course at both the colleges on your aspects:

it is one of the best engineering colleges in India and it truly lives up to its reputation. The campus is huge and green. The infrastructure is quite good, with modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, and a central library that’s a paradise for book lovers and project hunters alike.
The infrastructure of college is quite good , big and well designed . The classroom is properly ventilated and has smart board for effective learning, The library has all the books of different categories and students can issue any of the books in respective time. There are many grounds for respective sports and properly maintained periodically.
It’s campus is so big that moving from one department to other requires a lot of time else you can use bicycles. The view of college is amazing. There is wifi facility along big big classrooms and labs. I don’t suggest you the mess food.
