Hello Aspirant,

It is quite difficult to predict the exact percentile or marks required in JEE-Main 2022 for any particular branch or colleges because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors.

But as we go through the latest cut-offs of 2020 then it shows that the closing ST rank was 402 for Electrical and Electronics branch in NIT Trichy under Other state quota for ST category .

Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main score at least 155+ marks out of 300 and percentile against this is expected to be 99 or above but with regards to JEE-Main 2022 165+ would be the safest score if this year it sustains between 155-165.

Hi

You will be eligible for other state quota in NIT Trichy

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , 1817 st rank was the closing rank for gender neutral for st category for other state in in nit trichy and it was for Production Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

But closing rank changes every year, to be on the safer side try to get at least around 1500 st rank i. e around 1.2 lakh common rank i. e at least around 90 percentile on the basis of rank predictor available at

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Dear Aspirant,

You can have a rough idea using these:

You can check official cutoffs (closing ranks ) of all NITs on official JOSAA website:

https://josaa.nic.in/WebInfo/Page/Page?PageId=1&LangId=P

Cutoffs of NITs in past few years:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits

This year's  analysis of marks vs percentile vs rank :

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

NIT WARANGAL CUTOFFS-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-warangal

NIT SURATHKAL CUTOFF-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-surathkal

NIT TRICHY CUTOFF -

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-trichy

Due to changing trends every year its quite difficult to find exact marks or percentile  for particular branch of particular college, but a from above links and previous trends marks 130-140 + would help .

Hope this helps.

Hi

Your profile suggests that your home state is Tamil nadu so you will be eligible for home state for NIT Trichy .

March session results are already out, please refer your result for your exact percentile

With 184 marks

It is quite difficult to make prediction but yes as per past year trend , you hold a very good chance to get a seat in NIT Trichy

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020, 17694   rank for general category for gender neutral  for home state got a seat in Mechanical Engineering in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli

Even if you don't have home state then also you hold good chance in nit Trichy .

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020,  20809 rank for general category for gender neutral  for other state got a seat in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology) in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates that write jee main examination, difficulty level of the question paper for different shifts of jee main etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Thankyou

Dear student,

As you have mentioned your category and homestate so I will consider you as a general student and not from Tamil Nadu too.

Now to get the idea of percentile requirement, let us first see the cutoff of al the branches for NIT Trichy of last year(2020).

Branch Closing rank

Computer Science and Engineering                              781

Electronics and Communication Engineering            3022

Electrical and Electronics Engineering                         5381

Mechanical Engineering                                                6591

Chemical Engineering                                                   12056

Civil Engineering                                                            13159

Instrumentation and Control Engineering                13902

Metallurgical and Materials Engineering                   20809

Production Engineering                                               22234

Now as you can see that all branches of NIT Trichy get full by 20,000 rank and for 20,000 rank you need to have 98.3 percentile atleast.
