NIT Trichy Facilities

National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli provides well-structured and well-maintained facilities to its students and staff members on campus. The top-class amenities provided to the students make the stay in NITT a memorable experience. The presence of modern facilities at NIT Trichy ensures the academic growth of the students comfortably and easily.

Some of the NIT Trichy facilities are hostels for both boys and girls with a total capacity of around 5797 students. The NIT Trichy hostels also have the facility of a mess. Boys Hostel
The institute has a total of 22 boys hostels. Each hostel is managed by a warden. The first year UG boys' hostels have two resident deputy wardens. The Hostel Executive Committee headed by the Convener and the DCW coordinates the work among wardens and deputy wardens. Each hostel has a television, two DOT telephones, intercom(s), aquaguard, water cooler and kit for indoor games and outdoor games.
Girls Hostel
There are 6 girls hostels in the institute. The rooms of these hostels are fully furnished and are well ventilated. The Hostel Executive Committee headed by the Convener and the DCW coordinates the work among wardens and deputy wardens. The NIT Trichy girls' hostel has three resident deputy wardens. Each hostel has a television, two DOT telephones, intercom(s), aquaguard, water cooler and kit for indoor games and outdoor games.
Medical/Hospital
The institute has a hospital situated within the campus. The NITT hospital provides primary health care round the clock on all the days. The hospital has casualty, OP & IP facilities along with an ambulance for 24 hours.
Library
The institute has a modern Central Library with more than two and a half lakhs of documents consisting of technical books, reports, standards, CD-ROMS, Audio Visual Educational Cassettes, and back volumes of journals. The library subscribes to 83 periodicals (print) plus 8210+ e-Journals and 1995+ e-books besides a holding of 17690 back volumes of journals. The library also contains 16,750 books in the Book Bank scheme. There is also a Digital Knowledge Centre with multiple computers that allows students to read online journals in the library.
Sports
The institute has a multi-facility multi-disciplinary sports complex that helps in enhancing the overall personality of the students.The building has an indoor stadium with two shuttle courts and a fitness centre. The institute also has two indoor stadiums. There is also a beautiful swimming pool of 25 metre length.
I.T Infrastructure
The computer centre houses 7 labs with 600+ computers and 40 high-end servers providing LAN connection to 7500 users across the campus.
Auditorium
The college has an auditorium for hosting events and seminars.
Guest Room/Waiting Room
There is also a guest house in the campus for the waiting parents and staff.
Transport Facility
The Transport Section of NITT is managed by a transport committee under Dean in order to help the students and staff. NITT has 4 buses, 1 Swaraj Mazda, 1 Tempo traveller, 1 Indigo Car, 1 Bolero, 1 Eicher, 1 Omni and 1 Ambulance.

The college has club facility for the student.

College Infrastructure

Hostel facilities are adequate, providing basic amenities such as Wi-Fi and regular maintenance, though many buildings are relatively old and not very modern. Sports infrastructure is strong, with facilities like playgrounds, a gym, and an indoor stadium encouraging extracurricular activities. The institute also offers additional facilities such as a health center, shopping complex, and banking services within the campus, making it self-sufficient. However, some drawbacks include inconsistent internet connectivity in hostels, average mess food quality, and slower infrastructure upgrades due to its government nature. Overall, the infrastructure supports academic growth effectively, even if it lacks luxury or cutting-edge modern design compared to some newer institutions.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is very good. Huge campus , strong academic facilities and a lot of extra curricular activities. This place is good for exploring not the surrounding but about yourself. Hostels are also very good. Proper clean and spacious.

College Infrastructure

NIT Trichy has a large green campus with new academic blocks, modern labs and rich library resources. CSE students have dedicated networking and software labs, hostel and sports facilities make life balanced and comfortable.
