Keep in mind that scholarship availability and eligibility criteria can change, so it's essential to verify information regularly.
Hello,
yes, your son as an OCI cardholder who completed both 10th and 12th grades in Mumbai, is eligible to apply for engineering colleges in Maharashtra. he can participate in the admissions process through the NRI/OCI without appearing for the MHTCET exam. however, he must register for the centralized admission process (CAP) conducted by the state CET cell and submit the required documents for verification.
The AAU CET 2025 syllabus aligns with the Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council's 10+2 curriculum, encompassing Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology. The examination comprises 160 multiple-choice questions, each carrying one mark, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer
Hi aspirant,
All the best!
Based on your scores—263/300 in PCB (12th boards) and 88/180 in KCET PCB—your approximate KCET 2025 rank for the PCB stream would likely fall between 10,000 and 15,000
The syllabus for the AAU CET (Assam Agricultural University Common Entrance Test) 2025 typically covers subjects relevant to the undergraduate programs offered by the university in fields like Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Horticulture, Fishery Science, and Community Science. The syllabus is generally based on the 10+2 level curriculum of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) and other equivalent boards.
While the detailed official syllabus for 2025 will be released by Assam Agricultural University on their official website (aau.ac.in) closer to the examination date, based on previous years' patterns and available information, you can expect the syllabus to broadly include the following subjects and topics:
1. Physics: This section usually covers topics such as Mechanics (Newton's laws of motion, work-energy theorem), Thermodynamics (heat, temperature, thermodynamic cycles), Optics (wave optics, reflection, refraction), Electromagnetism (magnetic effects of current, electromagnetic induction, electromagnetic waves), and Modern Physics.
2. Chemistry: The Chemistry syllabus generally includes Physical Chemistry (chemical bonding, solutions, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, thermodynamics, equilibrium), Inorganic Chemistry (periodic table, chemical reactions, coordination compounds, metallurgy), and Organic Chemistry (hydrocarbons, haloalkanes, alcohols, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, amines, biomolecules).
3. Biology: This section is often divided into Botany and Zoology. * Botany typically covers topics like plant physiology (photosynthesis, respiration, plant growth and development), genetics and plant breeding, ecology and environment, plant anatomy, morphology, and reproduction. * Zoology usually includes topics such as animal physiology (digestion, respiration, circulation, excretion, nervous system, endocrine system), genetics and evolution, human anatomy and physiology, animal diversity, ecology, and economic zoology.
4. General Knowledge: Some sources indicate a section on General Knowledge, which may include current affairs, basic history, geography, and general awareness related to agriculture and animal husbandry. However, the weightage and specific topics in this section can vary.
Exam Pattern:
Based on the previous year's pattern, the AAU CET usually consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) . The total number of questions and the marks allotted can vary, but typically, there are around 150-160 questions in total, with each question carrying one mark. There might also be a negative marking for incorrect answers (usually 0.25 marks per wrong answer). The duration of the examination is generally 2 hours . The question paper is usually available in both English and Assamese . The distribution of questions among the subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology) is generally equal, but it's crucial to refer to the official information bulletin for the exact pattern for AAU CET 2025.
Hello,
For 70 marks in Slot 2 of MAH MBA CET, your estimated percentile could range between 85 to 90.
However, this is an approximation and can vary depending on the difficulty level of the exam and overall performance of other candidates. The actual percentile may differ slightly based on these factors.
You can also go through MAH MBA CET Percentile calculator for a better idea.
Hope it helps !
The cutoff ranks for colleges in KCET depend on factors like the college's reputation, the program's popularity, and the candidate's category. Generally, top-ranking colleges with competitive programs like Computer Science (CSE) will have lower cutoff ranks than less competitive programs and lower-ranked colleges.
Here's a general overview:
Top Colleges (e.g., RVCE, PESU):
For highly sought-after programs like CSE, cutoff ranks can be as low as 1-500 for the General category, with higher ranks for OBC, SC, and ST.
Mid-Tier Colleges (e.g., BMSCE, MSRIT):
These colleges might have CSE cutoff ranks between 100 and 1,200 for the General category, with higher ranks for other categories.
Lower-Ranked Colleges:
Cutoff ranks for programs like Civil and ECE in these colleges can be significantly higher, sometimes exceeding 10,000 for certain categories.
In Mumbai, around 40 to 70 colleges accept the MHT CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) scores for admission to engineering courses. These include both government and private institutions offering B.Tech programs. Some of the notable colleges accepting MHT CET scores are VJTI, K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Shah & Anchor Kutchhi Engineering College, and Atharva College of Engineering. It’s recommended to check each college's eligibility, course offerings, and placement records to make an informed decision.
