For MH CET Law (3-year LLB), the minimum eligibility is 45 percent marks in graduation for General category candidates. For reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, VJNT and EWS of Maharashtra, the minimum required is 40 percent. Since your graduation percentage is 44.83 , you are not eligible under General category, but you are eligible if you belong to a reserved category and have valid documents.

Hello,
With a CET percentile of around 41 in Maharashtra, getting top government or highly ranked colleges is difficult, but you can still get admission in some private engineering colleges, especially in later counselling rounds or through institute level quota. Colleges in tier two or tier three cities may offer seats in branches like civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, or sometimes computer related branches depending on seat availability. Your chances improve if you are flexible with branch and location. You should participate in all CAP rounds and also check institute level admissions directly with colleges, as many seats are filled there after regular counselling.
I hope this helps you.
Since you completed Class 10 from Karnataka and Class 12 from Maharashtra, you can apply for both Karnataka CET and Maharashtra CET, but eligibility depends on the specific rules of each exam. Generally, Maharashtra CET gives preference to students who have passed Class 12 from Maharashtra, while Karnataka CET focuses more on domicile and study criteria. You should carefully check the official eligibility conditions of both CETs before applying, but yes, applying to both is possible if you meet their requirements.

Hello,
If you passed Class 12 with PCB from a recognized board and later passed Mathematics separately through NIOS, both exams generally accept this combination. NTA (for JEE Main) and the Maharashtra CET authority allow Mathematics taken from NIOS as an additional subject, as long as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are all passed at the 10+2 level from recognized boards.
However, your Mathematics marks from NIOS must be declared as passed before the exam or counselling, and you should have valid mark sheets for both PCB and Mathematics. During counselling, you may be asked to submit both mark sheets together as proof of eligibility.
So, with PCB from your original board and Mathematics from NIOS, you can apply for JEE Main and MHT-CET, subject to meeting other general eligibility rules like year of passing and age criteria.
I hope this helps you.
Hello
Yes, you can apply for CET exams in both states.
You are eligible to apply for MHT-CET since you completed 12th from Maharashtra, but without a Maharashtra domicile, you’ll be considered an Outside Maharashtra (OMS) candidate.
You can also apply for KCET because you studied 10th in Karnataka, but state quota benefits depend on domicile and years of study, not just exam location.
Simply appearing in the exam is allowed in both states. However, reservation and state quota seats depend on each state's domicile rules.
The best score for MHT CET varies each year, but generally:
- 160+ marks is considered excellent (top colleges like COEP, VJTI)
- 120-159 marks is good (government colleges)
- 90-119 marks is average (private colleges)
- 40+ marks is qualifying (General category: 90 marks, Reserved category: 80 marks)
Top colleges and expected marks:
- COEP Pune: 170-180 marks (CSE)
- VJTI Mumbai: 160+ marks (CSE)
- SPIT Mumbai: 150+ marks (CSE)
Thankyou
Hello,
A non-local student does not get full fee reimbursement through MHT-CET or WBJEE. Full fee reimbursement is usually given only to students who belong to the home state and satisfy the state-specific eligibility rules. In MHT-CET, only Maharashtra domicile candidates under valid categories are eligible for government fee reimbursement. In WBJEE, only West Bengal domicile students can get the state benefits and fee waivers. If you are a non-local candidate in either state, you can still take admission, but you will not receive full fee reimbursement from the state government.
Hello,
You are medically fit and you have completed BTech in Biomedical Engineering and MTech in Medical Instrumentation, but for becoming a marine engineer through IMU CET, your current degrees do not match the required stream. Marine engineering needs a background in mechanical, marine, or naval architecture. Biomedical or medical-related engineering is not considered equivalent.
You also cannot take lateral entry through IMU CET with your qualifications. If you still want to enter the marine field, the usual option is the Graduate Marine Engineering (GME) course, but that also accepts only mechanical or similar branches.
Kindly check the below link to explore about marine engineering course:
