dear student,
With a cutoff of 187.5 under the MBC category , your chances of getting CSE or ECE at Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), Coimbatore are quite low. These branches are highly competitive, and in recent years, the closing cutoffs for MBC candidates in CSE and ECE have typically been above 190 . Your score is slightly below the usual range, so it's unlikely you'll secure a seat in these top branches.
However, you may still have a good chance of getting other branches at KCT, such as
Mechanical, Civil, or Biotechnology
, which generally have lower closing cutoffs. Additionally, you can explore
other reputed private engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu
where
CSE or ECE seats
may be available for your cutoff. Make sure to list a range of colleges and branches in your TNEA counselling choices to maximize your chances.
good luck

With a TNEA cutoff of 183 and belonging to the SC community, there is a good possibility of getting a B.Tech IT or BE CSE seat in Kumaraguru College of Technology (KCT), but it will depend on the overall merit and available seats within the SC category. KCT is a reputable engineering college, and while 183 is a competitive score, it's not out of reach, especially with the SC category reservation.

If your cutoff is 153, you have a fair chance of getting Mechanical Engineering, especially in some GFTIs, state government colleges, or private engineering colleges. It may be tough in top NITs or IITs, but in colleges with higher closing ranks or less competition, it’s possible. Your chances also depend on your category, home state, and quota like defense. Keep Mechanical as one of your options during counselling and explore similar branches too. Use tools like college predictors to know where you stand, and stay open to other good colleges that offer strong placements and faculty in core branches.
