A pretty decent faculty with a few of them as exceptional in their field of study. I’m currently pursuing B.Tech in mechanical engineering and this is the best college to learn mechanical engineering, not just for the laboratory experiments but the projects undertaken under SAE GECT is simple an experience one cannot get anywhere else in the entire state of Kerala.
I studied BTech specialized under production engineering which is quite a deep and advanced course. Its a college which calls for self learning and the faculty here are well experienced and helpful so you dont have to worry about that.
I am pursuing my B.Tech in ECE .The total intake for ECE branch is 66. 6 seats are allotted for Lateral entry for diploma holders.A part time B.Tech degree course with seat intake of 45 is provided for diploma holders in ECE. We have a well qualified faculty and an effective teaching system. The practical sessions and project works help the students to learn beyond the syllabus.

If you were to take my opinion core engineering placements are good only at selective colleges otherwise most of the colleges give very average placements. The average package stays between 2-3L per annum.
So, I would recommend you to go for gec thrissur ece because it's a non core branch and you will get good placements opportunities in core as well as non core domain. You will have plethora of opportunities in these branch.
