IMI Delhi

Placements: Placements are good if you compare it with second Tier colleges. This year the highest package was 20 Lacs and the lowest was approximately 7.5 Lacs. The companies visited are IMRB, Dara Shaw, City Bank, Axis Bank, RB, ANZ Bank, Decathlon, Deloitte and HCL etc.

Infrastructure: A bit of overall infrastructure constraint, but the management of resources makes up for it. Could be better. Classes are good, as well as labs are. The library is bit small and Auditorium is not too spacious either. Hostels are also average. We also have gym facility.

Faculty: I would say the faculty would be in top five b schools in India. Professors are highly knowledgeable. Some are so good that you would fall in love with subjects. Overall it's great pedagogy of case study mixed with the theory classes, makes it great learning experience. Students to faculty ratio is 1:8.

Other: The best thing which can happen to you is getting indulged in the management and cultural events. College is so happening that you never feel bored. Great ambiance in the college.

RATING:3.5/5

LBSIM Delhi

Placements: There are 100% placements with decent packages and in good profiles. This was for the batch 2016-18. There is a job for each field and in all areas, whether it is marketing, finance, human resource or operations. The company is responsible for the quality of your work and to provide you with the best quality service.

Infrastructure: There is nice and well-maintained infrastructure, and there is Ecohost and Bloomberg lab which is the best. The best library in Delhi NCR is present, which is a great place to work for you. Good quality and professional training programmes to help you achieve your goals for your business success and your future are also provided.

Faculty: The faculty are highly qualified and mostly PhD holders and industry persons with awesome teaching skills and wide knowledge and experience in the industry. I am very interested to work with the faculty and got a few opportunities to work with them on the project.

Rating:4/5

BIMTECH

Placements: Placement is BIMTECH is average for the batch other than insurance batch and the lowest package offered by the companies was 5 Lacs and my seniors got placed well and the role offered to them was Management trainee, strategic manager and business analytics and so on.

Infrastructure: Quality of rooms in BIMTECH for the hostel is good and the quality of food provided by them is good and they offer the different variety of food. And the classrooms are good too, its spacious and good to seat for 70-80 students at a time and wi-fi access is also there.

Faculty: Faculty at BIMTECH are well experienced and they provide informative stuff and knowable information, which can help in placement too and the curriculum decided by them is made to take care of placement scenario and the industry. SO the overall ambience is quite satisfied.

Rating:3.7/5

IBS Hyderabad

Placements: College provides a good mix of established and budding startups so one can choose from a variety of roles. Though once your placed in a company you can not sit in placements further. Deloitte, Musigma. Shell, KPMG, CCD, are few of the traditional companies which visit the campus.

Infrastructure: Gym, canteen, conference room. These three a student is going to use a lot other than classroom (for obvious reasons), good news is that they are functional and well kept. THOUGH nothing can be found in vicinity, bus shuttle provided by college can be used to go Delhi Gurgaon during weekends.

Faculty: Faculty is awesome. And in case you don't like anyone, you can always provide anonymous feedback to programme office. The feedback are taken seriously and worked upon. It is a residential programme so you can reach out to profs even after college hours.

Rating:4.2/5

IBS Hyderabad

Placements: Placements here for the BBA course are satisfactory. Quiet good no of companies come here and select students both for placements of graduates and interns. They also pay a good amount of stipend and average salary package for the graduates is also good.

Infrastructure: The college has a very good infrastructure. All the areas in the campus that is (99acres ) about 80acres of area has the Wi-Fi facility. There are 2mess and 3cantene facilities. There is a play ground stadium for all the sports. The food quality is good at a reasonable price. There is also a clinic for people facing health issues. Still date I didnt face any issues with the infrastructure

The classrooms are spacious and centralized acs with projectors and desktops.

Faculty: The teachers here are very qualified and experienced and also very helpful in practical and even in course

They teach us trough case study caselets assignments and regular revision. They test us trough 4times a semester 2ncps one mid term and an end semester exam the course circullum was useful when we used to get practical we can relate with the course studied.

Other: The college has a fest every year which is a 3day event and which becomes a grand success every year

The college also provides a scholarship for the merit student. There are many different activities that are taken by students etc.

Rating:4/5

Therefore,i would recommend you Great lakes Gurgaon which has better overall systematic structure.

Both are good for HR.
but you have to choose between region like Kolkata or Delhi.

Thanks,
Azim

Hey Dipak.

As the name suggests, it is a core finance course, more finance than PGDM Finance. It gives you good visibility in front of companies looking for students for the role of RMs, Auditors, consultants and many more.

PGDM finance is a more open ended course as it allows you to club your majors with another majors (in marketing or operations) or 2–3 minors. Compare that to BFS you only get to study core finance projects with a few tailor made marketing courses.

Finance or marketing students get to choose whatever majors they like to have, which, is good for someone who is a fresher or someone who is not very clear what’s good for him/her as in the first year you get to look at all options you have and then you can decide what subjects you want.

Talking about the BFS course I would recommend you to go for it only if you are perfectly clear of your likability towards finance subjects and even more so towards finance profiles.

It distinguishes you from the rest of the batch and as the sector is booming it gives you better chances of being placed (though the companies which will be looking out for you will be lesser as compared to Marketing and finance companies. This might be because companies keep changing your profiles until and unless they finally decide in which department they want to put you, hence if you are trained in only 1 department , which is finance, do not think that companies with an open ended role will take you. Banks will be your best shot).

Compared to PGDM Finance students PGDM BFS students get placed earlier because of the smaller batch strength and distinguishing skill sets.

Hope this serves your query. All the best.

Its an eligibility. It will be equally considered as cat exam

Good Luck!

No they will not call you by itself

you need to apply before

well , since you have a decent percentile you can apply for other good colleges

Hi

IMI Delhi considers the following for admissions

  • Overall CAT percentile
  •  Academic profile. Marks in Class 10, 12 and graduation are taken into account.
  • Work Experience, if any is also given due weight

So if he hasn't got a call, chances are that he might have fallen short in the other criteria.
