Located in serene Thiruvananthapuram, the LBS Institute of Technology for Women (LBSITW) is well-known for imparting high-quality technical education to women of the society. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in different fields of engineering. The LBS Institute of Technology for Women admission programme aims at selecting the most deserving and meritorious female candidates among the various options provided. Normally, the university carries out admission based on entrance examinations taken at the state level for different types of programmes. The entrance scores for undergraduate programmes are based on the Kerala Engineering, Architecture & Medical Examination (KEAM). The entrance exam is normally held in April; the simulated KEAM exam will be held from April 24 to 28, 2025. For postgraduate admissions, the GATE scores are taken into account.
To qualify for undergraduate programmes, candidates must have passed the 10+2 level or equivalent, in which Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry are compulsory subjects. For postgraduate programmes, the candidates must have passed a bachelor's degree in the relevant branch of engineering from an approved university. There are six B.Tech programmes offered by LBSITW include Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Civil Engineering, and Electronics and Computer Engineering. LBS Institute of Technology for Women admission to these programmes is determined by the performance of the candidates in the entrance exam, KEAM. There are a total of 420 available seats in the various B.Tech programmes, with Computer Science and Engineering having the largest intake of 180 seats.
The two M.Tech programmes that are provided in the institute are Computer Science and Engineering and Signal Processing. Each programme has an approved intake of 24. Specific details of admission can not be found, but it is presumed that admissions are granted based on GATE scores followed possibly by an interview.
These programmes are offered in Ph.D. Computer Science and Engineering and Communications Engineering from LBSITW.
