Experience with hr is best but operation in this college ????

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The good thing about the MBA program in MIET, Meerut is it gives a nice and professional atmosphere for learning. Classrooms are big and bright, and the campus is very calm with many green plants. There is good general information, but not much knowledge can be gained from this regarding HR and Operations.

    Academics

The MBA course in HR and Operations teaches both theory as well as practice. The few very experienced teachers always available, but it could have more case studies as well as contemporary business tools such as SAP. For an HR person, it was hoping more hands on the tooling like CRM software which might have been useful.

    Placements

Placement results are mixed at MIET. Indeed, the students get jobs in some popular companies, but mostly in sales, and there are few options in HR and Operations. It was frustrating when companies had the first interviews but sent no job offers afterwards. Jobs in some areas require enormous networking and personal efforts.

    Value for Money

The fees are relatively low compared to many other MBA programs, and there are government scholarships. However, the return on investment could be more if placement cell had harder to try bringing in diverse companies to come for jobs in the Human Resources and Operations.

    Campus Life

Camp life is quite colorful owing to multiple cultural festivals and seminars regularly. The hostels are quite safe provided you happen to be a girl student, otherwise the rooms may seem small particularly during summers when there isn't that much breeze in the room. With these issues, however, the pleasant atmosphere created with friends and the enjoyment at college events made the whole experience worthwhile.

    Others

best part is about the campus life and helpful friends, but there are problems like not having enough placements in specific fields and not using modern tools in the curriculum.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure for MIET is decent and can be upgraded. The classrooms are usable and well-equipped to an extent but lack modern facility such as interactive boards. The computer labs are reasonable but lack updated software. The greenery in campus gives it a refreshing look making it quite pleasant to stroll around the campus.

    Academics

It is reasonably priced, hence suitable for various students from all kinds of budgets. However, given there is not so much extensive practical exposure or state-of-the-art facilities, this value for money depends totally on how much effort the student puts into doing things out of class coursework.

    Placements

Placements for MCA is average with primarily opportunities of IT support and mainly entry level. Most companies visit however prefer local candidates for junior positions as opposed to High tech, networking and personal exertion facilitates better career scope.

    Value for Money

It is reasonably priced, hence suitable for various students from all kinds of budgets. However, given there is not so much extensive practical exposure or state-of-the-art facilities, this value for money depends totally on how much effort the student puts into doing things out of class coursework.

    Campus Life

MCA student life feels pretty academically centric there aren't many technical events or hackathons but annual fests and cultural events break the monotony as a girl, I always feel safe on campus, and hostel amenities are pretty horrible during summers.

College looks good especially when viewed from the outside college is situated near the main market so that it is accessible by transport from all over nearby places and it has all necessary facilities like WIFI, play grounds and big library.

    Academics

Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable, but the curriculum is outdated and lacks practical learning syllabus must be made new and practical exposure should be provided to the students which is important in today's world.

    Placements

Placement is average in this college you must try off campus to get placement if you rely on college for placement you will not get good package they provide placement but the average is 2-3 lpa only which is not good.

    College Infrastructure

MIET for MCA students have just functional infrastructures, but they are not extraordinary. Classrooms are very basic, with ample seating arrangements, but with no modern amenities such as a smart board. Though computer labs are quite good, not the latest tools and certainly not the fastest system for hands-on training is available.

    Academics

The MCA curriculum of MIET is more theoretical than practical. Core subjects are covered, but trending topics such as data science or AI have few topics. Guest lectures occasionally take place, and more updates are needed on the syllabus.

    Placements

Placement opportunities to the MCA students are average, as some companies are offering roles in support and development. However, mostly it is startups or small-scale firms, and most of them are uncertain about job security. The process often involves bonds and several companies fail to provide final offer letters.

    Value for Money

The course fees are relatively cheap compared to the other private colleges. Nevertheless, there is room for improving the return on investment. Scholarships by the government are also offered to some students. There is no further fee waiver and financial assistance offered by the college..

    Campus Life

The campus of MIET is a mix of academics and extracurricular activities. It is small in size and lacks vibrant open spaces. However, students can attend coding contests and cultural fests. Networking opportunities are few because there are fewer industry-oriented events or seminars.

    College Infrastructure

The Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology infrastructure is excellent, providing all the basic facilities a student requires. The college makes sure that students are provided with every available facility in order to support their academic and extracurricular activities.

    Academics

Academics currently, I am pursuing an MBA in Finance and Marketing. The curriculum has been lately updated, though it still lacks many improvements to be so-called 'modern'. Professors are supportive and regularly conduct classes. Case studies about current changes are discussed in the class, which helps in real learning.

    Placements

The quality of placements at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology is appreciable. College offers considerable support to the students so that they get positions in well-reputed organizations by attractive salary packages.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure for MCA at MIET is pathetic. The building is not equipped with all contemporary amenities. in summer, there are no air-conditioned classrooms, and it is quite uncool. The campus is small, and the MCA block is so cramped and pretty outdated, when compared to other institutions.

    Academics

Modern relevance is missing in MCA. The syllabus seems to be very outdated, not matching the current demand of the industry. Practical learning along with exposure to trending technologies like AI and cloud computing is almost nil in such programs, which becomes absolutely necessary today in the field of IT.

    Placements

Placement opportunities at MIET for MCA students are unimpressive. Though companies do visit, most demand employment bonds from the students. In addition to that, many recruiters do not give offer letters after selection, and the students remain in limbo about their future.

    Value for Money

Fee structure is pretty much in the reasonable scale, but there isn't any financial support from the college itself like scholarships or fee waivers. This means students can only avail government scholarships which include a very fewer number of deserving candidates.

    Campus Life

Campus life at MIET is straightforward and focused, though not very vibrant like the bigger institutes. A smaller campus leaves very few scopes for halls of recreations or social spaces for unwinding. There is mostly academic-based interactions amongst students there, though cultural fests and tech events create some excitement sometimes.

    College Infrastructure

Campus life is lively and suitable for students, comprising everything one could wish to have in college life. The campus features a large stadium for sports, all indoor games facilities, a swimming pool, and many more facilities. Classrooms contain projectors for effective learning.

    Academics

The lecturers are friendly and helpful in the admission exercise but are uncooperative afterwards. Many alumni have reported cases whereby students were not allowed to sit for exams unless all fee dues are cleared, no matter how their circumstances were.

    Placements

In our college, only about 5-10% students get placements, while the remaining students have to hunt for placements on their own. The placement ratio is very poor, and there are few scarce placements available. Besides this, the curriculum is designed with a focus on mere theoretical learning and lacks sufficient practical and industry-oriented skills.

There is no Wi-Fi facility available for the students, but the lab administration is efficient. The classrooms are kept clean and the library is stocked with a great variety of books. The college has hostel facilities with good management along with three canteens and a sports complex that caters to the extracurricular and academic needs of the students.

    Academics

Our college teachers are well-experienced and very supportive. The curriculum of the course is pertinent, and it helps in enhancing the ability of the students as well. The level of difficulty in the exams generally depends on the preparation of the individual student. It requires 40% marks to pass out.

    Placements

About 60% of students get placement every year. Salary packages range between Rs. 8,000 and Rs. 25,000 per month. Top recruiters include Airtel, hike education, and Planet Spark. Apart from this, about 80% of the students get internship in a year, thus getting great industry exposure.

When choosing between MIET (Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology), Meerut, and KIT (Kanpur Institute of Technology), Kanpur, for a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), several factors should be considered to determine which college might be the better fit for you.

    MIET, Meerut:

    • Reputation: MIET is one of the more established institutions in the region, known for its consistent academic performance and focus on engineering disciplines.
    • Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped infrastructure with modern labs, libraries, and other facilities crucial for CSE students.
    • Placement: MIET has a good placement record, particularly for CSE, with companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visiting the campus regularly.
    • Faculty: The faculty is experienced, with many holding advanced degrees and having industry experience.

    KIT, Kanpur:

    • Faculty: The faculty at KIT is qualified, with a strong focus on research and innovation in the CSE field.

    Conclusion:

Both colleges have their strengths, but if you're looking for a more established name with a solid track record in placements, MIET, Meerut, might be a better choice. Your decision might also depend on other factors like location preference, campus environment, and personal priorities. Visiting both campuses and speaking with current students or alumni could further help in making an informed choice.

    Hello,

A private university with more tuition and funding would undoubtedly have greater amenities, as would SRM Chennai.

The state government's engineering university, Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), offers government seats that are filled through centralised counselling. MIET is located in Meerut.

As for SRM, well, it is SRM, a private institution, a renowned one at that recognised for standards, and given the tuition they demand, buying a student a placement won't be a tough job. MIET has also had great placements throughout the years. Private universities obtain student placements in this manner.

Here are some details. Your choice is yours to make.

    Good Luck!!
