Wi-Fi facility, computer rooms, seminar halls, and auditoriums are also available on the campus. Hostel facilities with proper security and satisfactory food are provided. Sports field, gym, and medicare facilities are also there for the use of the students, so the whole campus life is very comfortable.

    Academics

The faculty is highly experienced, qualified, and extremely supportive in nature. Most of them are from well-known institutes and have industry experience, which makes the learning practical and relevant. They implement case studies, live projects, and presentations to make things easy to comprehend.

    College Infrastructure

Civil Engineering has distinct labs for surveying, structure testing, concrete technology, and fluid mechanics. The library is large with relevant study material. Classrooms are large, but hygiene is at times a problem. The hostel is average in quality, and most students opt for PGs outside the campus.

    Academics

Some of the teachers are extremely experienced and know their subject matter well, but there are a few who are unable to express themselves well. Competitive exam guidance for GATE or government job preparation isn't that good, so students take outside coaching. Semester exams are easy but clearing them requires regular study. The faculty does attempt to assist, but industry exposure is less than great.

    Placements

Placements in Civil Engineering at MIET Meerut are decent. Few construction and real estate firms such as NBCC, Sobha Developers, DLF, and JMC Projects visit the campus, but the opportunities are fewer compared to IT streams. The highest salary package ranges up to 4–5 LPA, whereas the average salary for freshers is approximately 2.5–3 LPA.

    College Infrastructure

Classrooms are smart with projectors. The library is gigantic with recent management-related books, journals, and case studies. Wi-Fi connection is accessible on campus. Hostels are neat and clean with quality food, and proper security is ensured. Medical facilities are also arranged whenever necessary.

    Academics

The teaching staff consists of highly experienced and cooperative faculty. The faculty teaches using case studies, role plays, and actual business examples, making learning practical and efficient. They are mostly available out of class too and prepare us for placements, group discussions, and interviews.

    Placements

About 85–90% of the students from our batch were placed in well-known companies. Ernst & Young, PwC, HDFC Life, ITC Limited, PepsiCo, and Colgate-Palmolive were some of the major recruiters. Students were employed for marketing, finance, HR, operations, and analytics profiles.

Average in other things but good in Education

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and digital boards. The biotechnology labs are average and have basic instruments, but some advanced facilities are lacking. The library is enormous with departmental sections and also a central library. The canteen is large and the food is good.

    Academics

The biotechnology faculty members are highly cooperative and well-informed. They are mostly equipped with doctorate degrees and research experience. They provide detailed explanations and also provide study material. Teachers are available and help students for research and higher studies.

    Placements

Placements for the biotechnology stream are not satisfactory. There are mostly IT and management companies visiting the campus, and biotech core companies never come. Very few students get opportunities, and even they get, the packages are really low.

A Well Deserved college for sincere students

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure for MBA students in MIET is good. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, the classrooms are large and are provided with projectors, and the central library has a good collection of management books and journals. Hostel facilities are provided but somewhat average, and the canteen offers hygienic food with moderate variety.

    Academics

Our teachers accompany us personally through internships and projects. The pattern of exams is relatively challenging, but if you study persistently, it's not hard to get a good score. There are plenty of students who pass with ease, and I scored more than 70% in my recent tests.

    Placements

The highest salary package was approximately ₹17 LPA, and the lowest was ₹2.5 LPA. Some top recruiters were Byju's, HDFC Life, Reliance Retail, Axis Bank, and Nestlé. Most of the jobs that were offered were in sales, marketing, operations, and finance. The placement cell is highly active and provides mock interviews, aptitude tests, and group discussions, which guide students to perform confidently during recruitment processes.

    College Infrastructure

Clean and well-maintained classrooms are available, and there are basic lab facilities for biotechnology students, though the equipment is a little outdated. There is a central library with adequate reference books, journals, and research material.

    Academics

Faculty members in the biotechnology department are cooperative and well-qualified. They possess good subject knowledge and mentor us in theoretical as well as practical concepts. There are a few of them who assist with research projects and higher studies preparation as well.

    Placements

Barely 30–35% of the students get placed, and the packages are also not that great, ranging primarily between ₹2–3 LPA. Most seniors suggested that you have to work harder through off-campus drives and higher studies to obtain better opportunities. A placement cell has been established recently, but biotech-specific placements are not good.

    Placements

    College Infrastructure

The college possesses a distinct building for the management department with well-facilitated classrooms and seminar halls. There are several computer labs, and the library is expansive with a peaceful atmosphere ideal for study. Wi-Fi connectivity is provided campus-wide, and the campus features a cafeteria, sports facilities, and spaces designated for workshops and events.

    Academics

Faculty members are highly experienced, very well-qualified, and extremely supportive. They emphasize academic as well as practical aspects of management. Case studies, live projects, and industry-focused workshops are the teaching approaches. Exams are tough but meant to help develop analytical and managerial skills.

    Placements

The recent highest salary package was 15 LPA, and the least was 5 LPA. It has top companies visiting for recruitment, such as HCL, Genpact, Reliance, and Tech Mahindra. Students are provided internships around 65% during the course, and the college goes out of its way to help students prepare for interviews as well as actual corporate challenges.

Fees is very High and placement are worst for B.tech

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is mediocre. The library is decent but not highly equipped for technical references. College Wi-Fi is only available for faculty, so students don't have much internet access for studies. The college offers an online portal for attendance, but other amenities like labs and classrooms are moderately maintained.

    Academics

There are professors who attempt to clear the doubts and guide the students, but the quality of teaching is average. Elective courses exist, but they do not provide much practical experience. The curriculum for the course is good enough for learning concepts, but to be employable, students must acquire a lot of additional knowledge and experience outside college.

    Placements

Only a handful of students get placed, and the maximum salary package offered is of about 3 LPA. The majority of recruiters coming to the campus are small local companies with very few profiles. If you do not have good technical skills and projects, it becomes hard to get a good job through college placements. Summer internships are better, but once again opportunities are few.

Have a question related to Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, Meerut ?

Is MIET college in jammu good for computer sciences course

    Hello

MIET Jammu is considered a good option for Computer Science courses like B.Tech CSE or BCA, especially within the Jammu region. The college is NAAC A-graded and NBA-accredited, with industry-linked labs and certifications in AI, ML, and cloud technologies. It offers decent placement opportunities with a placement rate of around 80 percent and packages ranging from 4 LPA to 12 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant recruit regularly. While academics and infrastructure are strong, student reviews highlight a strict academic environment and mixed campus life, so self-motivation is important for success.

When choosing between MIET (Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology), Meerut, and KIT (Kanpur Institute of Technology), Kanpur, for a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), several factors should be considered to determine which college might be the better fit for you.

    MIET, Meerut:

    • Reputation: MIET is one of the more established institutions in the region, known for its consistent academic performance and focus on engineering disciplines.
    • Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped infrastructure with modern labs, libraries, and other facilities crucial for CSE students.
    • Placement: MIET has a good placement record, particularly for CSE, with companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visiting the campus regularly.

    • Infrastructure: KIT also offers excellent infrastructure, with state-of-the-art labs, a comprehensive library, and good hostel facilities.
    • Placement: KIT has been improving its placement statistics, with companies like HCL, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra recruiting students.
    • Faculty: The faculty at KIT is qualified, with a strong focus on research and innovation in the CSE field.

    Conclusion:

Both colleges have their strengths, but if you're looking for a more established name with a solid track record in placements, MIET, Meerut, might be a better choice. However, KIT, Kanpur, is also a strong contender, especially if you're looking for an institution that is growing rapidly and placing an increasing emphasis on industry connections and practical learning.

Your decision might also depend on other factors like location preference, campus environment, and personal priorities. Visiting both campuses and speaking with current students or alumni could further help in making an informed choice.

    hope this helps you!!
