Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh offers admissions at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. ZHCET admissions are offered in streams like engineering and architecture, computer application and IT, etc. ZHCET admissions are provided to B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc, M.Phil and more courses. 

Candidates wanting to take ZHCET admission in B.Tech/B.Arch need to appear for Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam commonly known as the AMU Entrance Test followed by counselling. The mode of application for ZHCET admission of the AMU Entrance Test is online. Students have to appear for an admission test for ZHCET admissions to BE programmes. For ZHCET Aligarh admission to M.Tech courses, candidates have to appear for the departmental test.

\Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh offers B.Tech/B.E. and B.Arch courses for ZHCET admissions to the UG courses. For B.Tech/B.Arch admissions, candidates have to appear for AMU Entrance Test. Students desirous of taking ZHCET admissions in B.E. courses have to appear for an admission test. At the postgraduate level, the college offers M.Tech, M.Sc. and one post-graduate diploma programme for ZHCET admissions. For M.Tech admissions, students are required to appear for GATE. If any students who have not appeared for GATE need to sit for a departmental test for PG admission. ZHCET admission to Advanced PG Diploma in Nanotechnology is offered based on the student’s performance in the qualifying examination and departmental test. For M.Sc. admissions, students need to appear for the departmental test.

• Students need to fulfil the eligibility criteria for ZHCET admissions.

• Fill the application form for GATE.

• Appear for GATE.

• ZHCET admission to M.Tech is offered based on the students’ performance in GATE. This is applicable only for GATE qualified candidates with 50% or above GATE Score, valid at the time of admission.

• In case seats remain vacant, non-GATE qualified candidates will be offered admission based on performance in the departmental test.

• Last, students must verify the documents and pay the ZHCET admission fees.

The Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Aligarh offers a total of 13 courses at the doctoral level which includes the M.Phil and Ph.D courses in different specialisations. The duration of the ZHCET Aligarh courses is 3 to 6 years.

ZHCET Admission Process 2025 for Doctoral Courses 

• Meet the eligibility criteria and apply for ZHCET admissions.

• Eligible candidates need to appear for an ZHCET admission test.

• The total merit will be calculated considering the following factors: performance in the written test(80 marks) and presentation/interview (20 marks).

• It is to be noted that students must obtain a minimum of 50%marks in the written test to appear for the interview.

• Candidates who qualify NET/JRF or GATE (only for science stream) through the test organised by UGC/CSIR/DBT/ICMR/ICAR/IITs or any other recognised institution need not appear for the written test as they will be deemed to have obtained 50% marks. These candidates will have the choice to appear for the written test to improve.

• The final selection of candidates is made based on the performance in the written test, presentation cum interview, document verification and payment of ZHCET admission fees.
