An honest, grounded look at the Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT), Prayagraj (Allahabad), reveals that it functions as a highly traditional, no-frills institution. It offers a classic "ROI-backed" education where the focus is strictly on the books, not the luxury.
The faculty aligns much of their teaching with competitive syllabi, and you will find an intensely motivated peer group preparing for government engineering exams from day one.students are naturally funneled into studying.
Computer Science and Electronics students generally find it easier to secure IT roles on campus. For core branches like Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil, reputable names like L&T, Tata Power, and Maruti Suzuki do visit, but the selection criteria are strict.
The campus carries a heavy "vintage government institute" vibe. The infrastructure is quite old, and many buildings show their age, urgently needing renovation and modern aesthetics. A very good college for learners.
The professors are generally highly qualified, with many holding degrees from top-tier institutions like IITs and NITs.Because the environment is heavily focused on self-study and traditional learning, IERT has a thriving culture for competitive exam preparation.
The average package generally hovers around ₹3 LPA to ₹4.5 LPA, while the median package for successful B.Tech graduates sits around ₹5 LPA to ₹6 LPA. The highest packages (reaching into double digits) are almost exclusively achieved by students fighting for off-campus placements.
A Hidden Gem of Technical Education — IERT Allahabad The Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT), Allahabad, is one of Uttar Pradesh's most respected and affordable technical institutions, offering a well-rounded engineering education that stands out for its dedication, discipline, and value. The overall teaching quality is good, and the daily academic routine keeps students consistently engaged.
IERT Allahabad has established itself as a significant player in technical education, particularly known for bridging rural talent with industrial opportunities, with placement outcomes reflecting a blend of regional industry engagement and evolving technical specialization. Major recruiters include companies like Wipro, TCS, and L&T, with an average placement package of INR 4–6 LPA. The highest package offered has reached 24 LPA, showcasing the potential for top performers.
Aagar college ke infrastructure ki baat kare yo thik thak hai, achi study milegi rather than others college.. sab kuch sahi hai infrastructure ke maamle me bs building thodi aur sahi ho jaaye to sb sahi ho jayega.
Academic ko baat kare to HOD proper way me work nahi karte timetable students ko khud se sahi tarah se pta karna hota hai.. Academics me sessional exam hote hai but proper evolution jaise hona chahiye vaise har sessional exam ka nahi hota ..
Basically placement ke maamle me sahi hai but guarantee nahi ho jaata hai on average ammount 2LPA - 12LPA.. COMPANYS come and give placement behalf of our interview performance.. Many companies visit every year for placement.
Better college for a btech degree not for more but yes than other btech college good for study..
College ki education system thik thaak hai but infrastructure sahi nahi hai bilkul bhi building bhi very bad , Lab hai but proper instument nahi hai..Baaki water fresh nahi rahta watercolor lage hai but filter sahi nahi hai..
Rather than others technical college not much better teachers ???? Good for preparing G.A.T.E examination. Highly educated teacher for your mentorship.???? Every thing according to A.K.T.U syllabus is taught.
Average placement depending upon your branch. For IT branches it depends company provide good placement like 4-5 L.P.A (lakhs per annum) And for core branches 2-3 lakhs per annum. Agr aapki back nhi hogi to aapka placement accha hoga.
Scholarship mil jatti hai aur fees bhi jada nhi hai sirf 70000 hai ek saal ki sabhi fees include kr ke lekin hostel ka charge alag hai aur mesh ka bhi alag charge hai 3000 per month baaki sb accha hai.
Average si hi hai mje kr skte ho to kr lo baaki khud kuch nhi hota hai.
Kaam chalu college hai.
Very old and bad building poor infrastructure don't recommend lack of proper labs, excessive warm temperatures during summer (lack of Air conditioners), small campus for B.tech students. Must not consider on the basis of infrastructure.
Great faculty for studying, mostly graduated from top IITs and NITs, No labs like workshop. Library is available but no new books. Great college if you want to prepare for G.A.T.E examination. Teacher support students.
Average placement not too good not too bad depends on the market on an average in a class of 60 students 20-30 get placed also average is like 4-6 Lpa for CSE and 2-3 for core branches like mechanical and civil.
Total fee for BTech - 70000 No good infrastructure. Great teacher. No cultural fest. AKTU affiliated. Scholarship benefits - 50000 (nearly)
No fest. No celebration. No clubs. Poor infrastructure. Bad classrooms. Small campus. Cheap canteen.
Don't take addmission if you want to enjoy your college life only good for nerdy persons. Hell nah for the college. ????
It's is very good college and have many quilfied professers and not many people know about him because of less marketing and very environment professers are very supportive and good facilities and infrastructure
In this college there is 7 branch in b tech computer engineering , mechanical engineering ,civil engineering , electrical engineering , instrumentation and control , industrial and production and electronics engineering
There is placement is very good many companies come to recruit students and offers good packege and students also very good many students get placement from good packeges and professers prepare students for placement like how give interview in placement
My college fees is very affordable for avery student year fees is 63000
The college was build the in1975 and since then arguably no modification has been done the college look gloomy and the buliding are almost giving up if you are looking for a college that has good infrastructure then this college is not for you. There is no wifi and library is not also good
I'm persuing btech in civil engineering and in first year the class were taken sincerely by all class teachers and some teachers teach very good overall teachers try hard to make students perform well in exams
In this college placement is average but chances are good that you get placed if you perform well because there is one class of one branch so students are less only 10 persent students get placed median package is around 4 to 5 lakhs
Fees is less compared to private colleges Around 70k per year
If you want degree this college is good otherwise it has no college life
The campus is decent, with greenery and open spaces. But yes, some buildings and labs are old and need maintenance. For example, a few lab setups are rusted and not used much. Still, most basic facilities for labs and theory are available. The library is useful, and classrooms are fine for day-to-day learning.
Academically, the college is strong. In Electronics Engineering, we cover subjects like digital electronics, communication systems, microcontrollers, etc. The faculty is experienced, and they explain concepts clearly. If you’re serious about learning or preparing for GATE/PSUs, you’ll find good support.
Placements are average but slowly improving. Some students from ECE get placed in IT companies like HCL, TCS, or Wipro. But core electronics jobs are rare on-campus. Most of us prepare for off-campus drives or exams like GATE, SSC JE, or PSU recruitment.
IERT is one of the most affordable engineering colleges in UP. The fees are very low, and the academic quality is solid. If you're focused on studies and willing to put in effort for placements or exams, it’s definitely worth every penny.
Campus life at IERT is simple and study-focused. There aren't many cultural events or fests, and rules are quite strict. It's not a place for a happening college life, but if you're focused on academics, the peaceful environment helps.
If your priority is to build a strong academic foundation at a low cost, and you're okay with basic infrastructure and a quiet environment, then IERT is a great option. Just be ready to take initiative for placements and personal growth.
Old infrastructure at our time, needed improvement, heard that new buildings have been set up, so things are getting up there with pace. New students can visit the campus to see improvements, I think that would be a better thing to do
Outsourced faculties at our time, needed big time improvement in academics. Again, things have improved pretty much now. Recent passout students can help the new joinees to understand syllabus and curriculum better
TCS was mass recruiter at our times, but proper placement cell has been set up to place students at deserving companies, you can now check the website for placement reports, I think big improvement here as well
I paid only 50k per year for this institute, so full marks for value
I was a day scholar, but hostel life was good because of the people but hostel facilities needed improvement. I think new hostel for 1st year has been set up
