Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology is the public engineering college of Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. The college was established in the year 1935 as a constituent college of AMU. NCC: A National Cadet Corps unit is present within AMU which invites various students to participate in various exercises and camp activities. NCC also promotes various students to join Indian Army and provide services to their country.
CEC: Cultural Education Center of ZHCET organises all the cultural activities of the college. Various cultural activities include annual day, Founder days and different cultural activities.
Residential Coaching Academy: This academy of ZHCET organises special classes for the interested students to prepare for public service exams and various national level examinations like GATE and other exams.
Exams and Cutoffs
Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology offers B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programme. Various branches in which B.Tech is offered include civil engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, electrical, petrochemical and computer science and engineering. Admission to various B.Tech courses will be done on the basis of entrance examination conducted by the university after which the qualified candidates have to appear for counselling where they will be allotted the course on the basis of their marks obtained by them in the examination. Admission to M.Tech courses will be done on the basis score obtained by candidates in entrance tests conducted by the various department or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. For boys, 2 halls of residence are there: Sir Shah Sulaiman Hall (intake 654 students) and Nadeem Tarim Hall (intake: 401 students). For girls, there is one hall of residence: Bibi Fatima Hall (intake 130 students)
Library: An institutional library is present within the college premises along with the central library of AMU (Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Library), the central library of AMU which has a vast collection of books related to different topics of the studies.
Common Room and Reading Room: A common room is present within each hall of residence of AMU. Various students of ZHCET residing at different halls can visit these common rooms and enjoy various facilities like Television, Indoor Games facilities. Students who want to study in a peaceful environment can visit in the reading room after the college timings.
Sports: Various sports facilities are provided to the students residing in AMU. Within each hall of residence, there is a huge ground which can provide spaces to the student to play football, cricket, volleyball, etc. Along with these separate grounds for these sports are present within the campus. A Basketball court is present within the university. Various inter-university tournaments are played among different halls of residence on a yearly basis.
Medical Facilities: Any student or staff member whose requires medical attention can visit the medical college or the university health centre and get can free checkup or treatment.
Gymnasium: A well-equipped gymnasium is present within the university campus which is opened to all the students.
Canteen: A canteen is present within the college which caters the students at any point in time during the day. The canteen serves food at reasonable rates.

AMUee 2020 is conducted by Aligarh Muslim university in offline mode for various courses. Actually the cut off marks changes every year. For this year the cutoff mark can be e near about 75 to 80 for general category. And for others 70-75. So you should score at least 75 because it is a safe score to get admission.
Does companies campus some to ZHCET ?If Yes , then how is the quality of placements?
The placements at ZHCET are great and top companies come to recruit in the college. The highest goes around 14-15L where as the average stays at 5-6L.
