Hello,

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering  is a government college in Karnataka  which offers many courses to students in different fields. Regarding your query, You can take admission in UVCE in M.Arch ON the basis of GATE or KARNATAKA PGCET. So, yes GATE counts .

Dear Student ,

Yes .. Masters in Cyber security is available in UVCE , Bangalore with a total seat capacity of 18 .

The accepted exam for this course is basically GATE.

The previous year cut off after 1st round seat allotment in PGCET was as follows :[in General- CS courses]

  • COMPUTER NETWORKING(UVCE)-7365
  • COMP. SC. AND ENGG(UVCE)-3655
  • INFORMATION TECH(UVCE)-10866
  • WEB TECHNOLOGIES(UVCE)-10810

You can check the cut off details from here too:

http://kea.kar.nic.in/pgcet_2020/r1_cutoff_mtech.pdf

But, you need to remember that, the cut off may change each year due to several factors like seat matrix, toughness level of exam etc.

For more details about PGCET , refer this :

Hope this helps !

Have A Great Day!

Hello,

The placements for the mechanical branch in NIE Mysore are very good. The placement percentage ranges from 50-60%. The salary offered is in the range of INR 3-16 LPA.

The placements for the mechanical branch is UVCE is very good. The placement percentage is nearly 60-70%. The lowest salary offered is nearly INR 3.5LPA and the highest salary being offered is INR 39LPA.

So, going by a comparative analysis based on placements, UVCE will be better for the mechanical branch. Both the colleges are academically very good.

Hope your doubts are cleared. Thank you.

Dear Aspirant,

Very difficult to say which one is better

Both are located downtown

Both have a long history but are no longer much preferred

Uvce is one of the oldest colleges and the only college under Bangalore University

Infrastructure is crumbling but attracts both govt and private companies for placement

Bit is more studies oriented and also gets many good companies for placements

You can go for either

Thanks

Hello chandanam,

As  per your rank which is 29k it is quite advisable that you keep eyes on the previous year cut offs because it would be somewhat close to that. However various factors are considered while deciding the cut offs like number of vacant seats in college, number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous years cut offs and difficulty level of the paper.

If I had to check on a general basis then you are close to reva university and vidyavardaka Mysore .

Dear Candidate,

Hope you are doing great,

As per your query,

Uvce has the best placements among the three so that's an advantage and also its civil department is one of the finest u will find.

Sorry to say, but you will not be admitted to UVCE because it is a government college under KCET and is only for Karnataka students and if you are Karnataka student then you should definitely apply in this. Sure, you will get into NIE Mysore, it is a reputed college with good faculty. Also, it would be more clear to you if you could specify the branch name as well.
