I got 244 marks in jee jan 2019 if i join in sastra university

244 marks are considered as a good score in jee mains. If you have scored this much then, your percentile must have been around 98 to 99 or more. I would suggest that if you are confident for your advanced then go for an IIT or else you can get really good NITs at such a score.
You can also try to improve your score in the second paper that will be taken in April 2019.
