HEY THERE!!!

Here’s how it works for B.Tech CSE (Core) or CSE (AI & ML) admissions at SASTRA University via Stream 2:

  1. You need to have completed your 10+2 (or an equivalent exam) in a single attempt, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  2. Alongside those, you need one more subject—either Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, or Biology.
  3. You’re also required to secure at least 60% aggregate marks in these three subjects from a recognized board.
  4. There’s no entrance exam involved for Stream 2; your admission depends solely on your +2 marks.

Hello Jyothy,

Sastra university ask you to select all courses so that if your preference choices are full due to merit/rank , you may still get admission in low preference course as per you rank. However you should firstly put those courses in preference in which you'd be okay with if first few option aren't available.

Based on your academic performance—70 percentile in JEE Main 2025 and 976 marks in IPE—you have a fair chance of securing a seat in Mechanical Engineering at SASTRA University, particularly through Stream 1 admissions.

Hello aspirant,

One of Tamil Nadu's well-known deemed-to-be institutions is SASTRA University.  Numerous undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate programs in engineering, management, law, the sciences, the humanities, and education are available through SASTRA.

For complete information about admissions, you can visit our site through following link:

Thank you

You scored 978 out of 1000 in your 12th board exams and have an 80.9 percentile in JEE Mains. SASTRA University offers admission in two ways: one based on a combination of JEE rank and board marks, and the other based only on board marks. Since your JEE rank might be a bit low for Computer Science through the combined way, your excellent board marks give you a good chance to get a seat in CSE or related streams through the board marks-only route. It’s a good idea to apply through both options to increase your chances.

With 73 percentile in JEE Main and a TNEA cutoff of 155, getting CSE at SASTRA University is difficult, as CSE is a very competitive branch and usually needs a higher score or cutoff. But don’t lose hope—you can try for other branches at SASTRA or look at other good private colleges with lower cutoffs. Keep checking official websites for counselling updates. Also, consider improving your score next time if you want a better chance at top branches like CSE.

hi,

With 983 marks in your 12th board, you have a good chance of getting a seat in the AI & Data Science course at SASTRA University, especially through Stream 2 (which considers only your board marks).

SASTRA takes around 30% of seats based on 12th marks alone, so your high score really helps. Just make sure to apply on time and keep an eye on their counseling schedule.

Good luck!

HELLO,

Its likely that you can get a seat in ECE at SASTRA University with your ipe score jee main percentile.

Sastras admission Criteria-

It uses a combination of ipe and jee main percentile to rank applicants for admission

Competition

Sastra is a highly competitive university and cutoff for ECE can vary each year .

Your specific Scores

With 973 IPE and 80.28 in jee mains considered a good score for admission

Branch preference

if you are targeting ECE it requires strong performance in IPE OR JEE.

hi,

With 986 in your AP board and an 82.74 percentile in JEE Mains, getting CSE at SASTRA University can be a bit tough but not impossible.

For Stream 1, which considers both JEE and board marks, the cutoff for CSE is usually higher, so your JEE percentile might be a little low for it. But since your board marks are strong, you have a good chance in Stream 2, which is based mainly on board marks.

It’s best to apply for both streams and keep an eye on the official cutoffs. Also, consider related branches like IT or ECE just in case.

Hope this helps!

Hello Manju,

Yes, considering that you scored 978/1000 in 12th grade, and in JEE Mains, you got a percentile of 80.9, your chances of getting admission to this university are very good under the stream based on board exam marks (Stream 1), as this university takes 70% of the marks in Class 12 and 30% of JEE Main percentile. For the CSE stream (with specializations like AI, Data Science or Cybersecurity), there is more competition with a board scorer like you (especially for Stream 1) but this admission also depends on the cut-off trends of that year, and the number of people who have applied. With board scores like yours, you have a fair chance, especially with early application and selecting many choices.

You can consider choosing the CSE specializations as your top choices, but also have options like ECE, or core CSE with no specializations as your other preferences, to help in your chances of admission.
