Hello dear,

If you're a part of aerospace engineering and are unable to get into ISRO then there are many of other sectors that can provide job opportunities.

Candidates from IIST have a better chance at getting into ISRO while IIT students attract other sectors more comparatively.

For an aerospace engineer ; First of all you can always go into research field and do higher studies ; create job opportunities by yourself.

There are other major organizations that recruit aerospace engineers are

Government organizations like DRDO, HAL, Bharat dynamic limited and many such companies at pay scale 7-8 lacs per annum in the beginning.

In private sectors also companies like Boeing, Airbus, GM, Pratt and Whitney, rolls Royce and some automobile industries also hire candidates. Package will vary from 6-12 lakh if you're a candidate from IIT or IIST .

Hello,
Actually your rank and marks are not sufficient enough to get seat in that college. There is no IIT in tiruvananthapuram. May be you got confused with IIITM-kerala. If you are local student then there is a chance that in the whole phase of counselling you may get alloted a seat.
Thank you.
