Good College
The college is a well equipped one in terms of necessary infrastructure of the academic and non-academic domains of its body. The academic body is having a big tech based central library, well equipped laboratories of different fields. The lecture halls are big, smart tech based. The whole campus is served with a super fast WIFI services. Hostels are big and well maintained. There is a central gym, sports court, recreation hall, amphitheater, basket ball court, cricket ground as part of sports.
I am studying Aerospace Engineering to go ahead in space research field of our nation. The professors highly qualified, experienced experts of their fields. The curriculum is always updated in the institute after certain short intervals of time to make it a better competent of its race. The study system is flexible and so its very practical and makes my job ready.
The quality placements is also good enough and people get placed to different space centers of the nation also. Mostly the students get placed if not going for higher studies and having a good quality. The students of Aerospace and avionics mostly get a better placement. The college is very much supportive in the placement process.
The course cost is very low as it is a central funded institute and also students with a good grade of 7.5 and above are given scholarships.
The college is having variety of active student activity clubs which include both academics and non-academics. The college is undoubtedly safe and always ready to handle emergencies as it is being secured by central force. The college is located in a place of immense natural beauty and calmness.
This is a college worthy to be a dream college.
The best infrastructure you can get in any educational institution. There are well equiped labs and other facilities. There are playgrounds for all the games and we have an open air amphitheatre where we have our cultural festivals.
ISRO scientist teach us, no more words needed to describe perhaps!, well the teacher to student ratio is like 3 students to one teacher, this makes interaction with teachers very easy and healthy relations are maintained. Any kind of help the faculty is ready to sort it out.
There is a criterion here as per the CGPA, if we have a 7.5 or greater CGPA we will be placed in any of the ISRO centres as a scientist. It has absolutely amaizing placement but the diversity is ristricted to ISRO,DRDO and some very huge MNC's like Boeing.
A young institute, college culture yet to develop.
Hello,
To get a seat at IIST, you must first qualify for JEE Advanced and have at least 75% aggregate marks in Class 12. Then, you must apply through the IIST portal, participate in their counselling, and be selected based on your JEE Advanced score. The total undergraduate tuition fee is approx. INR 5.53 lakh, and hostel fees are around INR 23,750 per semester.
I hope it will clear your query!!
You can check the official website of the college for the fees structure or directly contact them. You can also visit the various educational platforms like Careers 360 and check for the fees structure.

With an SC rank of 594 in IIST and a current waiting list position of 438 for M.Tech after the third round, your chances of getting a seat are quite low, but not entirely zero.
IIST has a limited number of M.Tech seats, and the number of candidates who move up the waiting list depends on how many people above you withdraw or don’t accept their offers. In most cases, waiting list movement beyond 100–150 ranks is rare, especially in specialized institutes like IIST where the intake is small and candidates are highly interested in keeping their seats.
Since your waiting list number is 438, and you're in the SC category, your chance would mostly depend on massive withdrawals or unfilled seats, which is unlikely this far into the counselling rounds unless there are further special rounds or spot admissions announced.
It’s always good to stay in the process till the end, just in case more rounds or spot rounds are held. Also, keep exploring backup options in other institutes or through CCMT if you haven’t already.
