NIT Calicut Admission Process 2021
The National Institute of Technology Calicut receives applications from candidates from all over India willing to take admissions in various streams. NIT Calicut admissions are held in different academic programmes, such as B.Tech, B.Arch, M.Plan, MCA, M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, and PhD degrees. Candidates can get admission to the B.Tech and B.Arch programmes based on the performance in the JEE Main. Admission to M.Tech/ M.Plan courses are made on the basis of the GATE score obtained by the candidates. NIT Calicut admission to M.Sc programmes is done through a counselling process on the basis of Joint Admission Test for M.Sc score. Admission to MCA programme is done based on the rank in All-India NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET). NIT Calicut admission to MBA programme is made on the basis of a valid CAT score. Admissions in PhD programs depends on the candidate's percentage, GATE score and previous record.
NIT Calicut Undergraduate Admissions
There are two undergraduate courses offered by NIT Calicut: B.Tech and B.Arch. The duration of the courses is 4 and 5 years, respectively.
NIT Calicut Undergraduate Admission Process
NIT Calicut offers B.Tech programmes under 10 streams. The four-year full-time course in B.Tech is divided into 8 semesters during which students learn the fundamentals of engineering, which involves the application of Science and Technology to design, develop and innovate. The five-year full-time course in B.Arch is divided into 10 semesters that helps students learn the basics of designing, planning, and constructing physical structures of various kinds.

2. NIT Calicut Admission Process for MBA
School of Management Studies at NIT Calicut offers a 2-year MBA programme. The entry qualification for the programme is maintained as Graduation in Engineering/ Technology with selection based on performance in CAT examinations with group discussion and personal interview.

3. NIT Calicut Admission Process for MCA
MCA is a three-year programme offered by the Computer Science and Engineering Department of NIT Calicut. It enables the students to acquire the required skills for a successful career. The elective courses offered give students a chance to be at the leading positions in the field of technology and applications.

NIT Calicut MCA Admission Steps
Candidates need to appear All India NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET)
Qualifying candidates have to appear for counselling process wherein they have to select NIT Calicut as their reference during the choice filling.
Once they have been allotted a seat, candidates have to report to the nearest NIMCET reporting centre and get the document verified and pay the fee.
4. NIT Calicut Admission Process for M.Sc
The two-year M.Sc programmes are offered by Departments of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The focus is to help students prepare for the future and make them job-ready.
