Digital University Kerala admission to various programmes is entrance-based and follows a transparent process of selection. For admission in M.Sc. programmes at Digital University Kerala, students are required to appear for the CUSAT CAT. DUK admission to M.E./M.tech students requires them to appear for the GATE, and for MBA, students must have qualified CAT/XAT/GMAT/KMAT Kerala.

Firstly, students must ensure that they meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the specific programme in DUK admission.
Students can fill out their application form through DUK admission portal and submit their application.
After that, students are required to qualify relevant entrance examination and attend the counselling session.
In the counselling session, seats will be allotted to the students on the basis of their exam rank and programme preferences.
Shortlisted students have to visit the college for document verification and pay the required fees to complete DUK admission.
Digital University Kerala offers PhD programmes with specialisation in Information Technology and Management. The minimum duration of this programme is three years, and the maximum duration is six years. Candidates must have a relevant master’s degree with a minimum of 55% and must have cleared the DRAT examination, which is conducted annually.

For the DRAT exemption, students must have an M.Phil degree from a recognised university or have secured a national research fellowship by the government or must have qualified UGCT NET Lectureship examination or GATE/CAR/CSIR/NBHM/ICSSR.
Teachers of universities, aided colleges, government institutions, and quasi-government institutions recognised by the Cochin University of Science and Technology, as well as scientists in National-Level research Laboratories with a minimum of five years of continuous service as permanent employees, are also exempt from the DRAT.
Candidates who are exempted from DRAT will be selected on the basis of their research proposal and performance in the interview.
For the students who are appearing for the DRAT, they will be called by the faculty for the written test and interview. Students must ensure that they score 50% in the written examination.
Final selection will be based on the research proposal and performance in the interview.
