Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Scholarships are awarded to 25% undergraduate students on the Merit-cum-Means basis. The RGIPT Amethi scholarships are awarded to students for all the departments of the institution. Academics
My curriculum is updated and includes all tge recent developments that took place in this field. The field I am studying makes me job-ready and also will orovide me a very good placement in the coming future.
College Infra
It has a very good infrastructure. The college has all the necessary equipment available. It also provides a very good library soace for students to study after class. The laboratories and all the required equipments are present un tge college campus.
Campus Life
Students, teachers and tge staff members are very cooperative and very supportive.
The location is also very convenient for students.
Placements
Maximum no. of students had the placements. And the students were quiet satisfied with their placements. The overall placement quality is quiet satisfactory as all the students are very happy after tgeir placements.
Value For Money
I think the fees I paid is worth.

Ph.D Petroleum Engineering - Batch of 2021-01-01
Academics
Yes, the faculty was very good and supportive; they helped us in every way, whether it was personal or professional. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant; there were so many practical things. My college was excellent in the research field. So this curriculum prepared the students for the industry. Semester exams were not very difficult; if you were serious about studying, you could easily pass the exam.
College Infra
There's brilliant architecture and good Wi-Fi quality, with 24/7 hours of unlimited Wi-Fi in hostel rooms and equipped labs, classrooms, a library, and a good collection of books in the library, but there's a lack of ground in our college. There's a mini-football court, but there's no cricket ground in our college.
Placements
Approximately 70% of students are placed in petroleum engineering. The highest package in the 2023–24 season is 22 LPA. The average package is 11.33 LPA, and the lowest package is 9 LPA. Cell, ONGC, Hali Bartan, etc. are the top recruiters. 70% of students got internships at different companies.

M.Tech Petroleum Engineering - Batch of 2017-01-01
Academics
Top-level facilities of petroleum and chemical engineering branches are present on our campus. Some professors are also listed in the top 2% of researchers worldwide. The curriculum of the first year is the same as everywhere while from 2nd year core subjects of particular branches are focused.
College Infra
Mostly our course has labs for c, python, Matlab, and Autocad in the first year and DSA, graphic, python, and database management labs in the second year. Talking about the classrooms they are excellent, you will feel as if you are studying in a top IIT class. Coming to the library which opens at 9 am in the morning and closes nearly at midnight. You can peacefully complete all your work and develop skills in this library which is fully air-conditioned and the classrooms are too.
Placements
Approximately 40% of students are getting placed now. The highest package is about 20 LPA and the lowest is 6- 7 LPA. Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering is one of the best courses in our college in terms of placement.

good faculty, infrastructure, placements and internships, and it provides good education
. Placements: About 60-65% of students got placed in my batch through college placement drives.
As per RGIPT MBA placements 2020,
the institute has recorded the highest placement package of INR 8.5 LPA
. The total placement percent was 84% & the top recruiters were ICICI Prudential, Reliance Industries Ltd., Torrent Gas, and TCS.

Hello Aspirant,
If you are not receiving a reasonable department in IITS or NITS, you should go for RGIPT.
These departments are there
- Computer Science and Engineering or CSE
- Electronics Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Petroleum Engineering
Consider petroleum engrg. as a decent department.
Infrastructure and management are more satisfactory than most of the IITs.
Placement-
PSU firms immediately give positions to the students from the college.
You get an education from an exclusive university which is an institute of national importance and comparable with the IITs.
