Course Reflection

The global energy sector is projected to undergo a revolutionary transition from fossil-based sources to a renewable forms of energy such as solar, H₂, and wind to provide solutions to climate change and global warming. Therefore, capacity development of existing working professionals and freshly qualified manpower’s in the evolving renewable energy domains is envisaged to fuel this transition and facilitate market establishment in a new sector. Supporting the above, the Department of Management Studies proposes an MBA programme in energy transition with multiple entries and exit options along NEP 2020. The programme is designed to run under online mode mainly.

The focus of the programme will be on understanding the consumption trends of energy nationally and internationally. The course aims to provide industry professionals, bureaucrats and policymakers an insight into the future energy resources, energy economics and climate issues resulting from a carbon-based energy basket.

The Management Department of the Institute is furnished with skilled faculty members aided by industry resource persons. The course structure for MBA in Energy Transition is well designed in the domain of Energy.

Program Highlights

The course is primarily based on industrial relevant subjects. The syllabus is molded towards the current trends and requirements of the energy domain industries. The programme will train working professionals with the advanced skills in various specialized areas through allowing the students to enrol in various parallel streams during their programme. The programme is project based and allows the students to learn through hands-on training.

Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must hold a minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in 10th standard.
A candidate must hold a minimum 60% (55% for SC/ST/PwD) in 12th standard.
A candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree from recognized Institute/University with minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CPI on 10 point scale (55% for SC/ST/PwD).

Admission Details

Selection for admission in both the programs (MBA & MBA in Business Analytics) will be based on the merit with following components:

The information about the selected and waitlisted candidates will be available on the RGIPT website on the given date. Selected candidates are required to make payment of fees as notified by Institute to secure the admission. In case any candidate fails to deposit the required fee within the stipulated time period (without prior permission from MBA Admission Office) then the offer stands withdrawn.

The final list of admitted candidates will be uploaded on the RGIPT website before the commencement of the programme. If at any stage, the information provided by a candidate is found to be false his candidature/admission shall be cancelled.
