    The admissions of RGIPT Amethi are offered at the diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The courses offered by RGIPT Amethi are Diploma in Engineering, B.Tech, B.Tech M.Tech (Integrated Dual Degree (IDD)), M.Tech, MBA and Ph.D courses. Sciences, engineering & architecture, arts, humanities & social sciences, computer application & IT, management & business administration are the various streams in which these courses are offered. RGIPT Amethi admissions to the B.Tech programmes and B.Tech M.Tech dual degree programmes are offered on the basis of marks obtained in JEE Advanced. RGIPT Amethi admissions to the M.B.A programmes are offered on the basis of marks obtained at CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT. The admissions to M.Tech courses are offered on the basis of GATE scores. The admissions to Ph.D programmes are based on the marks obtained in the written test and interview of the candidates. The eligibility criteria for admission are given in the table below.     RGIPT Amethi admissions to B.Tech/M.Tech/MBA courses are offered on the basis of marks in their respective entrance examination. The admissions to Ph.D are offered on the marks obtained in the written test.

    A minimum of 60% aggregate marks (55% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates) in class 12th or its equivalent examination.

    B. Tech M.Tech (IDD)

    Diploma in Engineering 

    Passed class 10th or its equivalent with 40% marks.

    M.Tech Chemical Engineering

    A B.Tech. or an equivalent degree in Chemical Engg. or BioChemical Engg. /Electrochemical Engg. /Energy Engg. /Environmental Engg. /Petrochemical Engg./Chemical Technology/Oil Technology with a valid GATE score in Chemical Engineering.

    M.Tech Petroleum Engineering

    A B.Tech. or an equivalent degree in Petroleum Engg./Petroleum Technology/Chemical Engineering and allied areas with a valid GATE score in Petroleum Engineering/Chemical Engineering.  

    MBA 

    A minimum of 50% in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates) in class 10th and 10+2 level and a bachelor’s degree recognised by AICTE/UGC with 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates). 

    MBA Data Analysis

    A minimum of 50% in aggregate (45% in case of SC/ST/PwD candidates) in class 10th and 10+2 level and a bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/Technology or must hold a  bachelor’s degree in B.Sc./B.Com/BCA/B.A. (Mathematics/Statistics) recognised by AICTE/UGC. 

    Ph.D

    A master’s degree in the allied discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or 6.0 CPI at the master’s level.

    • Candidates must apply and appear for Jee Main and qualify it. Further, candidates must appear for JEE Advanced and qualify it.

    There are a large number of scholarships for the BTech students of RGIPT. They are 1. The merit-cum-means scholarship 2. Central Scholarship for B Tech and IDD Students which is for SC students and which has been selected for implementation through NSP or the national scholarship portal. The family income of the student should be less than six lakhs from all sources. National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students 3. State Scholarship for B Tech and Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) Students of RGIPT. 4. These include (i) State Government of Madhya Pradesh Scholarship-Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidhyarti (MMVY) Yojana (MMVY) (ii) State Government of Uttar Pradesh Scholarship (iii) State Government of Jharkhand Scholarship "e-Kalyan" (iv) State Government of Bihar "Post Matric Scholarship".

    4: Does RGIPT provide any scholarship or financial assistance to students?

    Yes, RGIPT offers merit- cum- means scholarships to 25 percent of undergraduate students. Students whose family income is less than or equal to Rs five lakhs are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Other than that the institute offers endowment funds to students. The institute also offers a large number of junior/senior research fellowships to its PhD students.

    5: What are the entrance criteria considered by RGIPT for admissions?

    The entrance criteria considered for RGIPT admission is that the students should have scored at least 60 percent marks in aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent examination. In the case of SC/ST/PwD candidates, the minimum to be scored is 55 percent. Next, they need to appear for JEE (Mains) followed by JEE (A). The scores of JEE(A) will decide the admission criteria of the student to RGIPT.

    6: Does RGIPT accept JEE mains?

    Admission to RGIPT is based on the scores obtained in JEE (A). Students need to qualify for JEE mains after which they need to qualify for JEE (A).     RGIPT has good faculty, infrastructure, placements and internships, and it provides good education . Placements: About 60-65% of students got placed in my batch through college placement drives.

    As per RGIPT MBA placements 2020, the institute has recorded the highest placement package of INR 8.5 LPA . The total placement percent was 84% & the top recruiters were ICICI Prudential, Reliance Industries Ltd., Torrent Gas, and TCS.

    If you are not receiving a reasonable department in IITS or NITS, you should go for RGIPT.

    These departments are there

    • Computer Science and Engineering or CSE
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Petroleum Engineering

    Consider petroleum engrg. as a decent department.

    Infrastructure and management are more satisfactory than most of the IITs.

    Placement-

    PSU firms immediately give positions to the students from the college.

    You get an education from an exclusive university which is an institute of national importance and comparable with the IITs.

    Infrastructure:
