Admission Process 2021
The University of Hyderabad is a government university established in the year 1974. Spanning across a vast area of 2000 acres, the university is ranked 16th. It is also approved by the UGC and has a NAAC(National Assessment and Accreditation Council) ranking of grade ‘A’.
With about 5800 student enrollments and 400 faculty members, it is one of the best institutes available in Hyderabad.
The University provides admission in a variety of postgraduate courses. It also allows admissions in PG Diploma and for some integrated courses. With this, it forms a great option for students in various fields.
The University of Hyderabad offers a variety of courses based on the previous qualification of the student. For some courses, the university holds its entrance exam. However, national-level exams are also accepted and are mandatory for various courses.
University of Hyderabad Selection Criteria
Integrated courses (B.Tech in Computer Science)
● Candidates have to appear and qualify for the JEE exam.
● They have to sit for the JoSAA counselling and fill UoH as the institute of preference.
● The candidates are shortlisted based on their JEE rank and the counselling.
● They are further given seats after verification of documents and payment of fees.
PG Diploma
● Eligible candidates have to apply for admission in the course through the university’s online portal.
● Candidates will be shortlisted based on their scores in the graduation level programme.
● Selected candidates have to secure their seat by verifying the documents and paying the fees of the course.
M.Tech.
● Candidates have to appear for the GATE exam and qualify for the same.
● They have to undergo CCMT counselling and fill the University of Hyderabad as their institute of choice.
● Selection is made based on the GATE score and the further rounds of counselling.
● The seat of the candidate is reserved by verification of the documents and payment of the fees.
Ph.D.
● The candidates have to apply for admission on the university website.
● Then the candidate has to appear for a university-level written entrance test.
● On selection in the test, the candidate has to appear for a personal interview.

MPA/MFA/MBA in Health Care and Hospital Management

Scholarships
The University of Hyderabad is a central institute. Therefore, it offers a variety of scholarships for students that are offered by the government and the institute itself. It is done to financially assist meritorious students. It also provides many fellowships to give all deserving students access to higher education.
Financial assistance- it is provided to students with parental income less than 2 lacks. For 600 students, the UoH provides Rs.750 per month for 10 months a year. It is for students in the Masters or Integrated Masters programme.
